Why can't we properly talk with companions after the main story is over!?

Seriously, when you deliberately make a game like this; full of content, side quests, collectibles, and admittedly make the main campaign shorter compared to the rest, then why the heck are we locked out of having dialogue wheels and listening to squad mate comments back in Skyhold?

I know for a fact that killing the first dragon triggers a nice cut scene with Iron Bull back at Skyhold but dragons have nothing to do with the main plot, so naturally a lot of people would prefer to hunt them as endgame content... does the Bull scene trigger then? No, because all he can say now is "I'm ready whenever you are, boss."... No dialogue wheel. Smh

This game reminds me of Mass Effect 2 in many ways. A lot of companions, a straightforward villain you need to beat, and personal quests, but Mass Effect 2 had full conversations in the Normandy in the endgame. Hell, it was even designed so a character like Legion has two very informative and long dialogue trees that are mostly only accessible after the game is finished because you get him lat.

I'm making my point too drawn out though. The fact of the matter is. This game is great because of its characters and at its core it's practically designed around loads of endgame content. Why take so much of the experience away just because I've beaten the final boss? If it's because there are parts of the dialogue trees that refer to the threat not being ended, then just remove those and keep the rest.

No harm in asking Varric about Hawke again is there? No harm in taking Cassandra to a private place to have some kissy time is there? C'mon, Bioware.

I found this abit odd, I imagine it has to do with making sure that they don't show dialogue that is clearly meant to happen before the elder one is defeated  . That being said, im not sure why anyone would care .

It's not really that huge of a deal, but I like trying to 100% the game after I beat it, but it could've felt better if Skyhold still felt as alive as it was before. I mean, we can still access the war table and everything.

It just seems like a rushed decision to make all conversations unavailable after the game is finished. I have a lot of side content I have yet to beat.

This has bothered me sooo much! Skyhold feels so dead after you beat the Main Quest. I'd love if they released a patch that allowed us to properly talk with companions once again.
