I say it's a testament to Jennifer's incredible talent that even knowing who voiced Krem I still hear him as a man.
I did not even know that Krem was trans when I first heard his voice. Amazing voice acting indeed!

Serious? I was laughing when I heard Krem's voice because I thought it was some sort of screw up or something. Definitely did not sound like a man... and if they intended for Krem to sound like a man, they'd just get a male voice actor, not have a female try to sound butch.

Well considering that a trans character would have the physiological vocal chords of a female, why would you expect Krem to be voiced by a male actor?

Sigh... I didn't. That's the point. Krem didn't sound like a man, so people saying Krem sounded like a man can't even lie, because Krem wasn't even intended to sound fully manly.

Maybe it's because I never heard Jennifer Hale in anything else, or because I've heard a wide range of voices, but I'm not lying when I say I think Krem sounds like a guy.

If that were the case, you'd be well adjusted to that. I was seriously wondering if the game was glitched somehow and making Krem sound like that.
I'll go ahead and take your word that you thought it was a guy... I have no idea how though. I personally thought Hale botched that if her goal was to sound like a guy. Monotoned and boring, yes. Mannish, nay. But once I knew it wasn't a glitch and that Krem was actually a trans man, it worked because I wouldn't expect a trans man to sound very mannish anyway.

It's not really about higher pitch. There's a lot of dudes higher pitched than that. It's more of the tone. I can just tell the difference.

Solas' romance is a problem because depsite all the drama and the angst, you don't get content with him for a good third to half of the game.
Cassandra I'm simply not attracted to. She's too gruff and her accent grates on my nerves.
Just because they're important characters doesn't mean I want to romance them. Krem I'm attracted to and I think he has an incredibly powerful backstory that pulls me in every time. I go through every bit of possible Krem dialogue, but only speak to Cassandra if necessary.
