Rion Lavellan is my pride n joy and I spend approximately too much time on him, thanks to mods. I spent ages looking for a decent burn scar complexion

"Fenris is believibly a bad ass warrior."
At what point do you realize that your tastes have been irrevocably damaged by your obsession with Anime or Final Fantasy?
I think that statement above is a massive red flag.
Huge sword compared to slim physique, low riding bangs, unnature hair color, insatiable appetite for revenge, odd scars that have an extremely painful backstory that the character offers at the first mention of them without batting an eyelash, Anger at Father figure and still uses pet name Father Figure gave them, and a poor fitting voice for the character that was chosen purely for sex appeal.
Give him a pole arm and he's essentially a Male Exotic Dancer -- or a runaway Tevinter Slave, the description fits both.
Elves are lithe and small in terms of Physical, Dexterous over Strong -- which why they're far more often seen wielding bows or daggers in the series, and far less often seen carrying a claymore. The males are typically noted by prominent foreheads, sunken eyes, prominent nasal bridges, and gaunt cheeks.
The Elf companions in DA2 were portrayed horribly. They're both anime tropes up and down, and I can't decide if Merril or Fenris is worse. It further annoys me that people use them as the Standards for Elven appearance.
Look at the Dalish Clan in DA2, or Ethenril, they're far closer representations of the real standard for the Elvhan.
Also -- why are all the screenshot threads in the Combat/Gameplay section of the forums?
Damn, there are a lot of good looking male elves in this thread. Good job, guys!
I have tried so many times to make a male elf that I like, and it never turns out right. I've spent HOURS on it. I look at him from every angle in the character creator. I get to the point where I think I've got one damn fine looking elf.... and then I get him in game. And as soon as I get to the very first cutscene, I realize I've failed again. In the character creator I thought he looked amazing. In game he looks deformed.
I really wish they'd add face codes. ![]()
I think male elves can look great up close. It's their bodies that are terrible.. little to be done about it.
Hey Chlorite this elf looks awesome. I'd love to play as a character looking like this. You don't happen to have sliders for him? ^^
Hi Aetherius, Sorry I'm a bit late! I am happy you like him! I will gladly share the sliders as soon as possible - probably tomorrow (and I would love to see your version). (the screenshots are chosen to be flattering, I hope the sliders don't disappoint!)
inquisitcrlavellan, your Inquisitor is stunning! I like his face texture.
Some other pictures of Arakan, the one playthrough I completed (the eyebrows and hair are mods on these)
Chlorite, great job on Arakan! He looks badass and elfy at the same time ![]()
Big thanks Pensieve, I was aiming for "scoundrel", I am happy you like it !
I'm finally done tweaking my male Lavellan. There'll be no more trips to the Black Emporium for him. I figured I'd share him here as most people seem to think male elves look feminine and weird, and I think he came out pretty well. He declared the Inquisition for his own power, and he rides around on a flashy dracolisk just because he thinks it looks cool.
I'm using this hair mod by the way. I think it looks awesome on elves--can't recommend it more highly.

He has a very distinctive face. I love it. (nice touch with the eye/vallaslin subtle coordination)
And... thank you for so much for that link. It looks absolutely badass. I can't wait to try it.

Thank you kindly. I usually make the vallaslin or tattoos on my characters coordinate either the hair, the eyes, or the eye makeup if applicable. I don't like too much going on color wise. I put a tad bit of purple in his grey eyes to go with the dusty purple vallaslin, but I wasn't sure it was obvious in those screenshots...especially since I modified the brightness/contrast.
I hope you like the hair. It has a spot in the front that looks a little funny, but it's easily overlooked. Too many of the hairstyles create clipping issues with the elf ears, so I've been on the hunt for alternatives.
Well with my humble eye I find it very well balanced. The hint of purple is visible enough to be noticied, yet it remains natural (btw I really like that we have purple flowers as well in your pic - was that the scene with Josie?).
I tried this mod and I have to say I love it. It is edgy without being too clean/tidy and compensates (in my case) the lightbulb tendencies of the head. And I love the wild strands on the front
thank you for sharing that gem.
(I really don't mind the holes)

(we need more elves people!)
@Chlorite
Purple flowers, and one lone honey bee! Yep, that was the scene with Josie. I made him to do the Dorian romance, but I think he's going to end up with Josie. It will be my first branching out from the dreaded Eggmance, so that should be interesting.
Your screenshots are awesome. I love the reflection of his armor in the water. I totally fail at using the cinematic tools. I'm worthless with the lighting and color adjustments, so I just lean on GIMP.
I know there's a mod to correct the ridiculous body frame of male elves but is there one to fix the ears? I want leaf shaped ears like Tolkien's elves - not knife shaped.
Just saw this thread and had posted this guy in the inquisitor thread... but what the heck. I was never satisfied with any previous attempts at making a male Lavellan but I was pleased how this guy turned out and ended up finishing my second ever playthrough with him.

Josie's romance seems so sweet. Have fun! My next character is quite insuffererable so I don't really see him with anybody, and my elf romanced Dorian (very interesting character, smart, and perfect voice acting).
However now that I finished Trespasser, I really want to try the eggmance (what a perfect name). It was already intense while playing a friendlied Inquisitor, I cannot imagine with a romanced one.
Thanks for the screenshots! The Exalted Marshes are my favourite map. Gimp is a very good tool (used beautifuly on your pictures). I keep it simple with the Cinematic Tools (there's a lot of options I don't get ahah, I stick to Fog, blur and saturation)
HomerIsLegend, he looks really good. Very believable. I like the long nose and hooded eyes.

Thanks. Yeah for some reason I always make my characters with squinty/hooded eyes. haha
I'm pretty terrible with CC but I'm pretty happy with this guy. I wanted a fairly youthful, softer featured face for my snarky pro-Dalish mage Lavellan. Especially happy with his eyes. Was going for a fade-touched look. Male Elves seem to be one of the hardest to create but I love them.

I know how to make a hot guy
) with the longish hair like Zevran, but trouble is cannot save as black hair. Like how to make sure it remains dark, coz i heard its about the lighting effect of this system??
Fenris is irreplaceable tho, peerless LOL

I've never made an elven male inquisitor before. So I just gave a try this time
For now, he is a blonde but I kinda want to try raven hair too. I wanted to give him a bit of ethereal look. I'm not really sure whether it worked or not. Anyway I think I would make him a reaver ![]()
Aisyla: he's a beauty ![]()

Thank you ![]()

I've never played as a warrior inquisitor before, because I love rogue, but it's actually quite fun!
You lot do know how to make good dude elves. I shall add my own to the pile. First is Mahanon Bruce 'Staches' Lavellan, first and canon Inquisitor. I'm rather fond of him.

Then I have Brayan Lavellan who I created as a brother to Staches.

Yessss. I absolutley loved Staches, so I'm happy we get to see more of his kind!!! Both have very likeable faces. (and that nose... wonderful nose)
I've been trying to recreate this guy for a while, but I haven't had much luck. If anyone could post sliders for him, I would appreciate it.
