I generally give up, after my two decent elves, I for the life of me cant get it right now, its gotten to the point where im almost giving up trying to play one, and really I want to be an elf over a human in this game but there are too many obstacles to get it right, eyes, cheek size and jaw, the creator deceives you into thinking you have a great character but the moment you enter the cutscene, bam hardwork gone my character looks weird

 

 

so far ive created about 22 elves, 2 or 3 look alright but they were old builds when I was conflicted on being human, now that I want to play an elf properly they look weird

I'm pretty darn happy with my male elf and think I got it right the first go. He's the only character I've created, no re-tries, and I'm pleased personally. A lot of the ones in this thread look pretty good actually. Unfortunately they all suffer from the weird body proportions in those horrendous Skyhold pajama thingies and wimpy noodle arms. At least they look good in most armors though? And the thing I notice is that many of them have the same hairstyle. i.e the only "longish" decent hair in the game. I'm guilty of using it, too. Goodness I wish they'd given us more.

Thanks! Characters can turn out so weird or so great looking in this game. It can be kind of hit and miss so idek if I could re-create it very accurately for sliders. I'd totally have taken screenshots of the sliders the first time if I'd thought to!

Yeah I was so disappointed in the hairstyles. We have like 10 bald or buzzcut options and one decent long style. The rest look bleh. They put so much wonderful work into this game that it honestly surprises me that there are so few hairstyles. Here's to hoping they release more in future DLC.

I've had a chance to participate in Patch 5 beta with the Black Emporium and corrected a couple of things that were bugging me about my toon. Hopefully they release it sometime soon for the general public. *crosses fingers for it not being paid DLC*

 

Anyhow. Darker eye colour, smaller earlobes, longer nose, bigger eyes, smaller jawline. Deluxe plastic surgery package in short.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He looks fine in this Battlemage Armor with the arms armor attachment. No wimpy arms at last! I do prefer the look of the coat, but unfortunately I had clipping issues with it and finally said to hell with it.

I'm very happy with how my elf inquisitor came out. I called him Cassius. He's great eye candy 

I haven't decided yet if he's going to romance Cassandra or Dorian...or both

Very well done!  I have such a hard time with the darker skin tones, for some reason.  Your own character looks exceptional, though.  It's his eyes, I think.  Just a very powerful-looking character.  What's his class, by the way?

About midway through another playthrough, this time with a mage who looks a lot like my warrior character with some minor differences. Most notably the eyes, mind you.

Thank you! He's a DW rogue I was thinking about uploading him on Nexus, since I probably won't play him if not in some months, and it would be a pity to let him sit in my save folder :/

You wouldn't have sliders, would you?  I tried making a guy elf using that hairstyle and utterly failed.  The shape of your guy's face works real well, though.

 

Hehe, my canon Hawke is pro-templar.  With an aggressive personality, to boot.  I adore him.  Never made a warden Alistair, though.  Couldn't stomach the thought of Anora being Queen, so poor Alistair's stuck with the job.  Oh well.

Welp, thanks to the Abelas sliders that were released in another thread, I managed to make a modified version of Abelas for my own male elf.  So in other words, I FINALLY made a male elf that doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out every time I glance at his face. 

 

I'm still not happy with the hair though.  God I hate the hair.

The nose is perfect! My god, I'm terrible at tweaking noses. They're always either crooked or too skinny.

One of the best Male Elfs I've seen here. Once I download Black Emporium I will re-do my elf to look like this, last gen though so I got no idea how good it will look, but should be better than the horror I created and ended up looking exactly like Solas, which I had no idea beforehand, so when I have them active it seems like I got 2 twins.
