Okay, so he isn't conventionally attractive, but I like that about him, and he is masculine which I thought was an important trait for Iolan to have.  I may still do some tweaks, of course.

I really wish that elves can have stubble without having to go to the really old looking complexion, he looks too young without it, and for some reason I cant seem to create one without him looking deformed now

 

doesn't help when there isn't a solid elf long hair option like legolas's one or similar

Really?  I've been having a rough time creating a human male.  I can't wrap my head around what the issue is, just that every human I make is "wrong" somehow.  I get them in-game, and think the brows aren't shaped right, or the chin is jutting out too far, or the cheeks are too high -- it's frustrating.

preset 2 head 1, requires little effort to get right for humans , elves have short jawlines and cheek width, if you even mess with those he comes out looking like hes got 100 French fries stuffed in his mouth, luckily i created this just now

Haha, yeah Ja'ali has some random effects on alot of ppl it seems!

Me for example... I sort of just ignore my other Inquisitors atm - i just cant get enough of Ja'ali's photogenic face!

There are really no secret, rather than me just managed to make a Inquisitor that is rather photogenic

Ja'ali's sliders will be available when i update to latest patch, atm that dont work for me with my mods - so it will take abit longer!

I did not save his sliders, cause i was in a rush to click buttons! 

And im still on patch 5, due to no time for much gaming the last month! So been stalling there to get mods working with my Screenshot tools!

This thread is really enjoyable, seeing all your Inquisitors show the potential of the CC for elves and gives me lots of idea for future characters!

I really like the complexion options that were given to us.  I wanted to create a middle-aged elf and they helped a lot. I struggled a bit with the proportions starting from the preset 4. What helped was resisting my habit of placing the eye rather low on the face given than the brow can quickly become overwhelming with that starting face. That, and spending most of my efforts on the jaw shape.

Honestly it seemed to me that only the first complexion looked young and all others considerably older. For the females you have more "young" complexions compared to males. But seeing the screenshots here I do feel like the complexions appear in game totally different than in the cc.

I'm super glad you like the rascal theme, thank you (well the inspiration for this guy's personnality was Atton Rand so... x)    )

And yes you can have a light stubble !!! In the CC go in the complexion folder located under the skin colour one. Starting from the right side, click 3 times to the left and you will have that light stubble on your elf! It's not strong but still visible in cutscenes and in game. Please feel free to show us your creation if that option inspires you!

Yes!  (I already have three more elves which I want to create  (a male archer rogue (for Dorian), a fem Knight Enchanter (for Cullen) and a fem double dagger rogue (for Solas) but first I have to finish this PT) Thank you, I like it too =) planned was green-brown, but the yellow looked sooo much better.
