I'm having an issue here that the game isn't giving me a save after the final boss. I have a save right before harvester but I just get credits and no save after I defeat him. Should I just use the save before I beat him to move on to witch hunt? Same thing happened to me in Awakening (no save after final boss) and the main game (can't get to grove area).

There is no save past the final boss in GoA because the final boss dies either way, so Bioware decided to be nice and let you keep all those potions you wasted in the final fight. So yes you use the save before the final fight. Same with Awakening.
Strange about the main game, since there should be a Post Epilogue save or something in that direction. Still you should be safe with a save in the coronation area after you've gotten your boon.
