By the way, I wasn't promoting to adjust my build, or to gain attributes. I'm just having fun butchering routine enemies with a low level character.

what's the cap on this though? I'd hate to see if someone promoted their Constitution 99 times.

I think if someone promoted 99 warriors, they deserve what ever perks they want.

Increased magic damage ... it's even better than I thought
Willpower increases the attack of ALL classes.

As it stands, I'm only going to promote my characters if I want to respec them for whatever reason. If I use a character enough that they hit level 20, its typically because they are good and I like playing as them, I'm not going to slog through another arduous several hours of levelling them up again for so small of a benefit. I've only promoted keeper and necro currently because I didn't like the builds they had. I'm going to promote some other characters but they all will likely be the only time I promote them unless some crazy good builds are discovered down the road. I agree that the promotion feature, whilst a good idea, isn't ideal and ends up being more of a deterrent than an incentive. Hopefully they rework it in some way or incentivize it a little more.

I've promoted the Legionnaire and Archer once each. I will be promoting my Reaver and Keeper once they get to 20, because I'm not happy with their builds. I had started trying to promote everything once, because I heard that they will show up in Skyhold after you promote them. Then I actually got to Skyhold, and found that a bunch of characters that I haven't promoted where there anyways...
I think from now on I'll mostly be promoting to respec. At least until I find out about a stat gain limit from promotions and decide if it's worth trying to hit it or not. I guess I'll have to see, eventually I may start promoting more, but for now, I'd rather just find a good build, and really learn how to play it.

Each class except alchemist once and a few of them twice. Doubt I'll do much more really, it's kind of tedious. I wish there was an "endgame" goal.

7 rogues 3 warriors 3 mages.
Gonna max out crit chance so I can focus on crit damage and some willpower for bonus damage ![]()
I just wonder if defenses are capped, kinda funny if you're taking 0 damage for sure.

Leg - 2, Assassin -2, Archer -2, Keeper -1, Necro - 1, templar -2
Would be more if the game didn't crash so GD much.

That question has been asked twice and we're still waiting on an answer. I'd like to know so I can build my base around it.

I haven't played that much and have only promoted my keeper. Archer will definitely be next because my build totally sucks. From that point on I'll only promote when I screw up a build or feel like I really want to try something different.

So far I've only promoted to try new builds, but if the DAMP weekend events are in line with ME3MP then at least a few of them will be of the "Promote n Characters" variety, so I'll grind a few of the classes I don't particularly like up to 20 and keep them there for events...

Well I play very rarely now, a few months after release I kind of stopped, but occasionally come back for a match or two.
The player pool certainly seems to have shrunk, as when I do come back I tend to bump into the same players (a couple of whom are on this forum)
So what are everyone's responses to the OP now?
I'm roughly 15 Constitution, 50 Willpower, 28 Cunning
For players who have exceeded 200 cunning, is there any difference past that point?

260 Constitution, 197 Willpower, 200 Cunning. 627 promotions, apparently. How did that happen? Makes me wonder where my stats were back then.
Cunning does nothing after 200, though.

On December 2nd 2014 mine were 10/10/10. I didn't get into Multiplayer until December 23rd if I recall correctly.
