I have to admit, I've never encountered any of these problems, but that's probably because I'm a guy.
Have you encountered these issues? Do you get picked on for your gender?
Do you agree with this video?

Any thoughts?
Gender means nothing. Skill and teamwork mean everything.
I don't care what other male gamers say to female gamers.
Also I'm getting sick of this gender stuff in gaming.
It all comes down to this.

AGE discrimination!!!! Though I larf at all the 18 to 20 somethings as this old codger shoots them down or QQ's them in PVP. Oh how they would be humiliated if they knew that some guy twice or more their age just blew them up with his artillery in world of tanks! Reflex's, I still gots em!

Wow...every single point except point 1, and very skeptically 12, 14, 16, were complete and utter bullshit. I've seen each and every one of their claims happen, and preferencing it with "because of my gender" is bullshit as well, because it seems to assume that were they the other gender, such an outcome would not occur. This video, in trying to show "white male privelage" reduces women to being only meaningful in their expeirences becuase of their gender, and not becuase of their behavior, skill, or any other actually important factor.
2 seconds in and they already tell me that I'm "privileged". I can tell that it's going to be an amusing video.
Most of the points are complete and utter crap that I still have to put up with as a guy anyway. Maybe not "because of my gender", but I still have to deal with it.
Also, "I can be relatively sure my thoughts about video games wont be dismissed or attacked based solely on my tone of voice"
It's like they've never been on the internet. Your tone of voice isn't even important here, the fact that you have an opinion means that it will be both dismissed and attacked. At the same time.

"I am never told that video games and the surronding culture is not for me because I am male."
"I can publically post my username, gamertag, and public information online without having to fear of being stalked or sexually harrassed."
"If I enthusiastically express my foundess for video games, no one will automatically assume Im faking my interest just to get attention."
I am trying not to laugh, and got a big **** eating grin instead.
Obviously, these people have never been on a gaming forum or in any sort of heated discussion over video games, or have ever played an multiplayer game for a shooter before.
We all know all the men on this forum are really cute girls and all the girls are really men living in their parents basement. I will for this one time actually put away my phoney facade and will post on this forum the way i am in real life.
Oh fer sure! did you see that sale on at JC Penny's? Boots! and Purses, hey, do you think Randy likes me? Hey! I might get a new cell phone!
Now....back to living a lie as Beerfish.
did you see that sale on at JC Penny's?
There's always a sale on JCPenny. That place is so cheap relative to the rest of the mall that even relatively normal guys go there for their clothes.
Nice try.
But it's with Jonathan McIntosh! That man is a comedian!
I think that'd be his ideal career.
This is feminist material. It's very amusing to throw feminist arguments out the window. Here we go:
Think for a tad. There are some women that ''play'' games for the sole purpose of getting attention online. Attention, of course, from pubescent boys. Who, let us be honest, do not behave well around women. The women aren't any better. We know this. CoD whores who talk pure toss in the mic to get attention. Do not blame pubescent boys for stereotyping them all.
Let female gamers separate themselves from this stereotype, but don't start with the ''privileged'' gender bull*****. If anything, women are privileged when it comes to gaming. No one basks in my glory when I play games, but imagine if I was a very fertile-looking woman.
Feminism isn't equality. Feminism is sexism. Equality is equality.
It all comes down to this.
Hang on a moment.
Is the woman above the same as the woman below?
The woman below has all the make up removed and a different hair style, not to mention different facial expression and a different choice of outfit.

Didn't even recognise her in the bottom.
That's awesome.
I've never been more grateful to have a domain blocked by public wifi.
Good video.
It's hard to take seriously cries of oppression from someone whose work history involves telemarketing pyramid schemes and begging for money to buy a new computer under the guise of feminism.
Also, I'd go as far to suggest that many of these complaints about gaming culture stem from time spent playing competitive shooters with pubbies. Every gamer who's not a complete moron knows that pubs in just about every multiplayer game is cancer. That's just the reality of playing people who are not invested enough, not social enough or not liked enough to form their own dedicated gaming groups.
But nah, it's that male privilege thing I hear so much about. As if getting ****-talked by a 14 year old kid in a Call of Duty pub game is oppression.
