Wow. Really?
Wow.
You know, I also thought it sounded like Lady Emmeld genuinely cared about Sera and that, while claiming the cook was racist to avoid admitting she couldn't bake was petty and hurtful, it was rather petty of Sera to discard all the good the woman did for her. To only remember the cookie incident and hold it against the woman forever.
This just confirms it. And honestly? It's just another reason for me not to like Sera. In general, she seems like thr kind of petty grudge-holder who'll discard all the good things about a person does for her over a long period of time in favor of the one bad incident she won't forgive or forget. Lady Emmeld took her in and cared for her and left her everything, but she did one sucky thing by playing the race card to hide that she can't bake, and that's all Sera chooses to remember about her. Likewise, a Dalish Inquisitor could potentially be the perfect girlfriend who's always there for and supportive of Sera, but after the Temple of Mythal the one time they refuse to discard their elven heritage for her, that's it. Sera doesn't remember or care about that whole year of being a loving girlfriend. That one moment of being "too elfy" is all Sera needs to discard and dump them.
Now I really dislike Sera as a character.
I couldn't help but laugh reading this post. Sorry, no offense intended, but reading it I almost thought I'd gotten ahold of Sera's script.
