I found a gold ring in the cabin at Morrin's Outlook, and I was wondering if it was tied to any quest before I sold it.  It only sells for 1 gp, whereas a silver ring sells for something like 32 gp.  Am I missing some significance, or can I get rid of it?

Also, whatever book is in the cabin doesn't actually bring up anything.  I get the xp for clicking "Read," but no text.  That's happened a few times at various locations, and I assume it's a bug.

sold the ring ...it isn't tied to anything far as I know. no clue why it's sold for way less than a silver ring. Fool's gold perhaps ;)

I put forth this postulation:  there may be multiple copies of certain codex entries and when you find one that you already have "read" in the past the next book with the same entry does exactly what you saw happen and are posting about. Just a theory mind you and it could very well be some codex bug :P

I'm extremely curious about this as well. I found it, noticed it was flagged yellow, had a special text line ("a single gold ring") and sold for only 1 gold. All three of which are symbolic flags for quest items. It's not one flag, but all three, which really drives me crazy because I can find nothing that uses it.

It's now been flagged as blue in my inventory and not yellow. Debunk quest item not attached to anything then? I see far too many quest items in "Valuables" not properly marked to not be wary of destroying/selling it. Not like you can ever buy it back.
