First of all I looked arround the forum and I haven't found any topic about this suggestion I'm about to made.

I was thinking about another multiplayer possibility different from what we have.

I don't know if you guys have ever played Dark Souls where you can have an ally to help you progress through your own story.

I was thinking about something like that.

Have you ever imagined the possibility of a friend of yours control one of your party members?

It could be done by online cooperation or offline.

I was thinking that it would be nice if you could invite 3 friends to play one of each character in your party.

To make this possible the host would be the only person who can stop the game or change to tactical view. While the guest would only have the possibility to "expectate" in those events.

The only thing your friend would do is control only one of your party members. Your friend would be able to choose between one out of the three possible companions and he will control it without being able to pause, unless the host does it. And also, the host would have the power to retake the control of the guest companion anytime he want.

In my opinion it would be really fun if one of my friends could help me progress through my "single player" campaign.

I think this is what I wanted to share with you guys. I don't know if it would be possible to add in the current dragon age, like a patch or something, or if it could be an idea for the future.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts and sorry for my bad english.

I get denying him because it's unlikely to happen but how could anyone think this wouldn't be fun. I'm pretty sure Baldur's Gate had this option.

It would be phenomenal if just to avoid the janky party AI :)

I love me some co-op games.  A buddy of mine and I played the entire Never Winter campaign that way.  Some of my fondest RPG memories are from that game.

I'd be down with having friends run my party members.  Isn't the MP lobby hosted on the 'leader' PC already?  How hard would it be to host a open world state on my own server?
