Do two Artificers work well together?

Do some of the Passives stack?

Yes they do, as the .5 CD on crit (party wide) does stack. Not only are ranged characters able to engage WAY faster than mele, but if you add in Sera with a lightning flask, set up as crit heavy, you will find you can almost spam full draw and long shot for huge numbers.

I tossed together a quick video of the Hissing Waste dragon encounter with myself being an Artificer, Varric, Sera, and Solas. No tanks needed and I don't think we were damaged, at least not significantly. As you can see, my numbers are not as high as a few folks and I it did take 30 seconds, it still shows that it is viable.

Can't watch that Bomb as it's set to private. Hope you can fix that up as i'd like to see it.

My nature is to pick the worst set up and try and do something from it and with everyone talking about how insane some of the other builds were, I gave this a whirl, knowing I could do something with the crit modifier. Started using half mele, S/B, 2H, mage and myself, but when I noticed Bull critting more, I was able to really pick up the pace.
However, truth be told, +NovaDove gave me the heads up with tweaking the party to better take advantage of high crit rates. They saw far deeper into the build potential than I did.
While going DW would raise the CD speed for not having the other Artificer, the damage they do would still be pretty insane, the longest part of any battle being the time it took to reach the target on foot.

Damn. What level and difficulty was this on?
I could see this even with a Battlemaster 2H tank working.

Is that on nightmare?
And what do artificers feel about the various traps? My impression just looking at the numbers was that they look pretty bad, in which case they just become dump stats to access the right passives.

A question for late game Artificers. I understand stacking crit is the route to go but I never seem to have enough crafting materials with high crit. Where and what do you farm for your crafting needs?

Novedove or Bombadyl could give you a better answer but I've found them useful for protecting any space that opens up between your ranged and melee fighters and downright cheating in confined spaces like dungeons.

I am a 'casual' player, so started on the middling default but I did this on hard, not nightmare, but the same applies, as the way the build is set up, nightmare doesn't gimp the arrangement.
If you consider the entire party in the build, that 0.5 CD reduction, 10% extra damage and duration, and 5% chance to crit that applies to the entire party is what makes this. Starting off is a bit slow and I slogged it out with a typical party arrangement... ie S/B, 2H, Mage, and myself, but once I hit level 13-14, things really took off.

I think it is rough hide or Vargas scales or something like that which will give you pretty big cunning boost and you can farm them in the Hissing Waste or Western Approach. I believe the thick bow grip gives a huge crit bonus, upwards of 40% crit chance (I'm looking for a masterwork one of these)
I spent more than a few hours in the crafting room tinkering with different gear and resetting, I probably should have tossed together a list, but I'm pretty damn lazy to be honest.

I found them useful at earlier stages for basically what Duelist is saying here, they do protect the space. I'm one of those people who picked up stealth (old habits die hard) that negates most if not all aggro on you. I've played around with both traps and elemental mines and stealth, slipping in, covering the floor, then opening up with a full draw and just watch them blow themselves to bits for kicks.

Thanks, however, I saw something juicy in the numbers but Novadove was the one who explored the full potential far better than I. In fact, I was being reluctant to change up much, so it took a little while to see the real possibilities.
Looking back, I did get a bit of a chuckle as I ended up with everyone at full health, better than I started a high dragon fight with.

I've found that it works well with any party but really comes into it's own in a party with more than one Rogue.
And trolling enemies to death never gets old.

Of all the Rogue specs, Artificer sounded the most underwhelming.

Agreed.
While Assassin fits me better, I suspect that the Artificer would slot comfortably into any party but in a party with more than one Rogue, I've found Varric really comes into his own with his quick cooldown times and ability to sunder armour with his consistent critical hits.
