It really seams that every great plus in this game has an equally great minus, which unfortunately is hindering the games true potential. My focus is almost entirely on multiplayer, as I'm a social gamer and rarely get into SP modes. Overall I'm impressed with the game, but I foresee interest waining quickly if improvements aren't implemented very soon.

*Important note*:  I highly recommend avoiding ANY purchase of platinum until changes are made to the store's RNG system. I certainly won't spend any more money on plat in the game's current state (I already spent over $80 on platinum and strongly feel it was completely wasted money).

My MP Rating: 5 out of 10:

+ Amazingly detailed and deep single player story mode campaign.

- Unfinished, oversimplified multiplayer mode. No PVP. No co-op in story mode. (GOD WHY!?)

+ Epic story mode with hundreds of NPCs, and EFFIN Dragons!

- Co-op hallway simulator. Tiny selection of MP NPCs, and NO DRAGONS! (Seriously WTH?! It's called "DRAGON Age")

+ Deeply strategic single-player battles with a wide variety of interactions and challenges.

- Zero-strategy button-mashing multiplayer, with the same few (tiny) bosses over and over and over. This is 2014, where the heck is the verticality in MP? You can't call these challenges "Raids" by any means whatsoever.

+ Awesome multiplayer character classes, each with refreshingly distinct personalities and abilities.

- Hideous MP character models with no real options to customize appearance (aside from 2 sets of armor and color variants).

+ Great system for crafting item upgrades and armor sets.

- Pointless item levels. Any non top-tier items are worthless. No options to craft non-armor items (only upgrades).

+ Insanely cool items, with well-designed appearances and engaging attributes.

- Completely broken RNG "loot" gambling system that has ZERO progressive rewards for hours and hours of play. Only reward is more quarters for the shady, malfunctioning slot-machine of a "store". Good luck EVER getting an amulet btw...

+ Real-money store for players who can afford to purchase rewards, but can't afford to play 24/7 due to their careers.

- Purchasing platinum is literally throwing money in the toilet. Pay $50 for a giant slew of lvl 1 items and salvage junk.

+ Huge selection of class abilities and skills

- You can only use 4 of them at a time. (What is this, "Gauntlet?")

+ Gorgeous level design, and gigantic maps (SP only tho)

- Only 3 maps in MP, all hallways.

+ Large, detailed arenas for boss fights

- Beating bosses basically requires just standing in the arena entrance.

+ Ridiculously fun mage classes with a great variety of talents, and somewhat-useful warrior types.

- Nearly-worthless rogue classes. Watch as you get booted from groups (or have people leave) when you join with a rouge.

Some fixes which would hugely boost my rating for this title:

  • ADD CO-OP TO STORY MODE!!!!!!!!!!! (This one change alone would be absolutely HUGE, and would solidify this game for a long time to come.)
  • Let us customize MP character appearance, and allow SP characters to be customized after initial creation (Tweaks are often necessary and it takes a long time to get your toon looking right).
  • Use the MP micro-transaction income to fund development of additional Maps, Characters, and (especially) NPCs for MP.
  • Make MP prestige affect chances of receiving higher-level RNG loot.
  • Allow crafting of unique weapons and accessories from salvaged materials. This would help dedicated players receive at least SOME guaranteed reward for hours of dedicated playtime.
  • Buff Rogues group-usefulness and AOE damage.
  • Minimum-level requirements for all items (this would give tremendous value to items aren't lvl 23 uniques.)
  • Add some LARGE "Raid" bosses to MP. ESPECIALLY DRAGONS!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Add some strategy to MP boss encounters.
  • Spending real life money should be rewarding. Why would I keeep spending my money to receive absolute garbage?
  • Add 4-way swipe gesture on touchpad for 4 additional ability slots. (Example: Warframe)

I certainly hope the devs have plans to address some of these concerns. If they don't, this game will quickly join Destiny on the racks of lackluster pre-owned games. If longevity and additional revenue is a concern for Bioware/EA, I believe it's in their best interest make some changes quickly.
