There are a couple of people working on getting hair modded into the game, both female and male styles. Hopefully it'll work. *fingers crossed*
That would be great. I'm sure it won't be easy but modders are a rare lot. They always seem to find a way.

Following is my rant about hair: There are a lot of things in Inquisition that I'd like to have. I want attribute points back, I want a functional tac cam, I want less action and more RP, and pie-in-the-sky is that my PC could go all Chaotic Evil and use the Mark as a tool for fear instead of shrugging and saying, "I dunno if I'm sent by Andraste." The thing is though that Bioware's hair just, frankly, sucks. It's terrible. It clips and the textures are horrible. How does a game company make something so awesome like just watching the waves on the Storm Coast and then fail so bad at hair? It should be one of the easiest things. You google a pretty style, model it, and slap it on the head. It's way easier for you guys than for modders. And I'm just talking short hair styles. Why why why the females have something like eight options for buzz cuts is beyond me. Players have been asking for decent hair for a long time now. Hell, there's hair in Neverwinter Nights 2 that I'd take over the hair in this game. Just figure it out, Bioware, it's literally one of the easiest thing you can do to make your player base happier.

But if they did , there are further problems: face textures around the eyes that make characters look ill/strange/old, the face shapes are too edgy, considering females.
The Lightning ingame(not cutscenes) makes your skin look allergic.
I mean I don't have any other problem with this game(except the pc controls). I love the rest of the game, I've never thought I would love exploring so much in a dragon age game.

Yeah, the hairs are pretty ugly, in fact, if you see youtube videos, pretty much everyone uses the same 2-3 haircuts. Also the hair models are graphicly speaking, very bad, they do not match the realistic facial expressions of the characters. I want hairs with physics like in other next gen games, and please add some long hair models for female!
Bioware should really take a look at korean MMORPG to learn a bit about haircuts and hair physics, lol.

You just made my day! I can't wait until someone can manage some mods!
Until then I think I'll stick to the multiplayer. \o/

Why do they have most of their hairstyles shaved or bald, which most people are not giong to use? One bald and one shaved should be enough.
I guess long hair might have some problems, but more medium length options would have been nice

I know at least one of the hairstyles Adela is working on is a gorgeous, thick braided bun with side-swept bangs. Two others that I've seen are long, but definitely pulled up in a very stylish manner. I think she's working on others for females, in addition to styles for males, but I haven't seen those. The ones that Adela is working on are styles of the type that I simply can't imagine aren't in the game. Bioware is filled with professional 3D modelers, and we have to hope a community of players are the ones who can actually make our characters look better.

One hopes that something like the DA:O mods More Hairstyles or Hairstyle Day appear VERY soon! I want my long, wavy hair back instead of the lackluster sidepart style.

The hair is kinda shockingly bad for the PC. Conversely, NPCs seem to have a nice assortment. Not sure what happened there. I mean half of the hair "styles" are just slight variations on shaved heads / buzz cuts. Plus they're just recycled across male and female.

I can live without having the More Hairstyles mod in Inquisition, to be honest. I've been seeing those for almost ten years now in various games, and it's not that it wouldn't be good have to variety, but I'm a bit tired of seeing them. There's an Origins mod called Anto Hairstyles that I'd love to see in DA2 and in Inquisition, but even that one is fairly recent, in that I think it was added after DA2 came out.
And not to ask too much, but we really do need much better textures. My femquisitor looks like she's pulled straw into a weird, tiny ponytail.

Hmph. Agreed. I did a pretty large post on a hair thread back on the old BSN with pics of hairstyles. TBH, the hair and weird eyebrows were a disappointment to me. But, I still manage to make pretty toons!

I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I think Sera's hair is subtly animated.
We need more braids. As soon as modding tool is released and stable, I'm definitely gonna make myself one.
To me it looks like Seras hair got some physics as well as the horse tails (which might be animated though). Why can't my fem.inquisitor have such hair? ![]()
