Hi all,

Something that's been gnawing at me since the week or so before Inquisition was released is the complete lack of any sort of TV advertising for it. Now I'll start by qualifying this by saying I live in the UK and do not have access to channels beyond Freeview, so it is entirely possible that I've missed any that's out there. I know that, as a franchise, it probably doesn't have the presence of the likes of CoD and Assassin's Creed titles, which regularly get big advertising campaigns over here prior to and post release, but I remember when Skyrim came out seeing adverts on TV for it relatively frequently for some time. Even Sunset Overdrive which is, I believe a new IP, and as such has no already existing fanbase has received a considerable amount of advertising time.

Basically I was wondering if this seemed odd to anyone else or if its just me. Its just that amongst my friends and coworkers this franchise seems to be all but unknown to them, as was the Elder Scrolls before Skyrim.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses to reply.

I've thought it was weird.

US here, haven't seen one TV commercial. I do recall seeing commercials for DA:O durring football games and thinking "I WANT THAT!"

Only time I have seen Inquisition on TV is when the boxart pops up for something like Gamestop/Walmart (if adverting consoles) or that game rental company that I for some reason can't remember the name of.

The only places I saw any advertising was on banner ads on game related sites, and YouTube. I barely even saw any posters up in stores until about a few days before launch.

Ah that's fine though.

3/4th of the cod budget is advertising lol. Tv ads are very very expensive.

Sony is involved with the destiny ads, they're using the game to push their console.

Not every game will have a 50-60 mill advertising budget
