I don't like collecting all those crafting materials, it's boring and a waste of time. So I think it would be a good idea to make a DLC ware the players can buy the best Armors and Weapons for the game. And have all the armors and weapons useable for all characters and character levels, starting in the beginning of the game. And please also give us the best upgrades to.
Please give us the best Armors and Weapons DLC.

It is a Role Playing Game after all. It's about the journey from being a Small Fry to a Big Mac.

This whole point is moot considering the loot in this game ranges from terrible to outright abysmal.
Although I want DLC for different reasons entirely. For Aesthetic reasons, to be specific.

How odd that I've finished the game with an insanely powerful staff (loot) and Cassandra was wearing an armor that I've yet to see a better version of (drop)

What a hassle!
For guys/gals like you, they should make a DLC called: Dragon Age: the Movie. You just pop the disc into your console/pc, or click the downloaded file, grab a big bowl of popcorn and you can see a movie of all the story content, and at the end it says: YOU WIN, you're a fantastic player!

I completely agree with Psychevore. Its a travesty that some of the people who have been replying to these threads are the absolute WORST kind of gamer. You want it all, don't you, you want super amazing God like ability, you want to be in the bling and you want to be the bad a** from the moment zero...without even putting ANY kind of effort into getting to that stage? Seriously, what you want from the very first moment for this game to hold your hand and give you all the candy, and soothingly say player [x] "there, there baby doll, its all going to be OK we are going to look after you" Well to that I say
NO.
Man up, you wuss, you want good armour get out there and find the materials to craft some good armour/weapons, or get your hands on the purples. People like you make me so angry. ARRRGHHHH. *starts to strangle the namby pamby WIMPS*

Actually getting things like materials doesn't bug me, it's the seemingly random distribution of the damn schematics that bugs me, it would be nice if we could break down an item to get it's schematics, so if i really like a certain armor set i can keep making upgraded versions,

It would be optional and you would not half to but it. Some people want to enjoy the story more then crafting things and playing fetch quests. This is also way I don't play mmo's. A better option would have been for Bioware not to have change things from like they were in DA:O, in tell they had made a new story.
I was simply trying to come up with a solution to a problem. Now Requiemslove and Psychevore go play your Diablo 3 and Skyrim.

That's just lazy... I'd rather have items that upgrade through level-ups. Besides there's plenty of loots in the game to make up for the crafing system.

It's not so much "these items need to be DLC as"..
1) A great majority of the loot drops are God-awful, and unlike a large part of Origins you're shackled to the not-so-tender mercies of the RNG instead of receiving useful items as quest rewards, in chests, etc. The worst DAO got with RNG gambling was probably the Fade Wall, but that was a real outlier. Combine this with the fact items are very well scaled as to be useless before you get them, and it just leads to frustration. Remember how in DAO going somewhere and doing something might net you an item you could use all game?
2) Everything's restricted out the wazoo. If you're a Qunari, Elf, or Dwarf, I hope you like the hideous default armor, because that's 90% of what you have.
3) If you do find a schematic that actually works for your race, you'll probably run up against a class restriction. This means going to farm the one material per armor tier (light, medium, heavy) in the game that allows you to break class restriction. And probably doing so ungodly slowly.
4) Most of the merchants' stuff is either ungodly overpriced and requires five or so perks, or is useless. There's not much in between. Combine this with the glacial gain on gold even despite the massive inflation in Thedas (you pick up more gold in the first drop in DAI than you do in the entirety of the first act of DA2. And a decent chunk of DAO) and it's frustrating.
5) Even if you find something, it's scattered across the damn map with no rhyme or reason. The factions (Wardens, Templars, Inquisition) don't even have schematics for their own armors. The only ones that actually do are the Orlesians, who for some insane reason actually have Orlesian Army Schematics in Val Royeaux. How odd. Probably because Bioware made the boneheaded decision to tie armor and weapon values to the schematic tiers instead of, you know, better materials. And schematics let you get past the insane level restrictions on gear, so they naturally have to be placed out of the way to prevent players from feeling more powerful before the time you're supposed to have it. Why actually make sense instead?
I knew the crafting system was going to take the entire damned equipment and the economic bit with it, but no, I was just paranoid. Why? Because every other developer that does it falls into the exact same pitfall.

Not really. By the end of the game, DA2's upgraded weapons still had items you could find that were more powerful. You're basically asking for a pay to win solution, which is just absurd in my opinion.

Guess what, if that works then the next game will have 100x more grinding required to craft the most trivial of things because you will have taught Bioware that their customers are happy to pay $100s to unlock gear in the game they already bought.
Bioware put these grindwalls into the game, and you're proposing to pay them $10 every time you hit a grindwall... Obviously you are free to spend your money on whatever you wish, but I fail to see how anyone could possibly think that this will help matters in the long term.
Edit to add - just look at iOS games for example: By and large, they all allow you to spend up to $100 on in game currency. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS to rush stuff in some shitty clone of a freeware flash game. But because customers, evidently, don't have an ounce of self-discipline this practise thrives. Is that really what you want for PC?

Ooh yes! I loved those! I used them for a majority because of their bonuses, but the damage was lower than a lot of loot you'd find.... LP

I didn't mind the item packs in DA2, either. There were some good looking items, they weren't the best, but they gave you some nice options.
The accessories that came with them were probably the best part - great for subsequent playthroughs. I haven't much minded playing the "manage enhanced ring of blank" game yet, but it's gonna get tired eventually. If they wanted to sell me a box full of character specific accessories that I can equip and then forget about, I would probably spring for it.
