Are there any appearance mods out yet for PC? specifically for Cassandra and Josephine?

If people want mods to change looks why do people care so much? You don't have to use them there is no reason to pick fights over it.

I think, if you reread, you will find that it is the claims that there is an objective "right" standard of attractiveness that stems from our biology that actually started this particular fire.

i hope there will be a way to have multiple romances at the same time. My "Horny" Qunari would be so happy :)

I don't think that discussion would have even started though if so many people didn't come in to immediately protest the idea of changing appeanrces with mods. Let people who want to change discuss it here, let people who want the characters to stay the way they are to discuss it elsewhere there is no reason for both sides to hijack eachother's threads to start trouble.

This thread could have ended on page 1 with a simple "no there are not mods yet".

So if a woman looks good with short hair, she'd always look even better with long hair?

NO!

Who looks better than who is incredibly subjective. People think long hair looks pretty (in general). It's not really about who looks best with what hairstyle or whatever because there are all kinds of other factors that go into that. For example men being expected to prioritize work over beauty leads to shorter hair being seen as more attractive on men in some societies in some situations for some people. That's not really a sexual thing or even necessarily and aesthetic thing, it's about acceptance.

There is no universal factor for what everyone is going to like the look of the most.

Me personally? No.  However since I already wrote one far-too-long post in this thread explaining how the claim that, for example, "Long hair is attractive, full stop" is errant nonsense I'll just say this:

ema-watson2.jpgtop-4-hottest-bald-celebs-Natalie-Portma

Are you showing these just because she is an actress ??

Go out and show a picture on people on the street then comeback here.

Real life is different from movies.

Anyway, all this argument is stupid.

Everyone has different taste, but you people are forcing your morals on others.

The OP had the right to said he prefered long hairs, it's not like we HAVE THE SAME TASTE IN GIRLS DO WE ??

THE REPLY IS NO!

So stop being kids who like to bully others because they don't like the same girl as you people.

And yet a number of people, including myself, have explicitly pointed out in this very thread that we don't care at all what people do with mods on their own games.

Actually "she" is three different actors. Good eye!

You've got this exactly backwards. OP has claimed that there is an objective standard of beauty and further that it is a biological imperative. Those who you call bullies have been saying the exact same thing as you just did. Oops?

None of those girls is close to as attractive as they are with long hair. They are all far more attractive with longer hair.

Thank you for proving our point for us.

I don't find Cassandra attractive and I think she does look masculine. I don't really care about the plethora of reasons someone can come up with that mark her as feminine and perfect in their eyes, because their eyes and opinion is not mine. Her features are gaunt, angular, predatory and uninteresting. Her hair looks like it was cut with a knife in the field and she wears her scars proudly, she also makes no bones about being a tomboy and basically acting and being just like her brother to carry on his legacy. So not only do they remark that yes she does act like a boy, they give you a reason why as well.

Now to some this may scream awesome female warrior but to me its a lame choice for the only straight female in the entire game that your straight male character can have a relationship with. I can pretend or role play to a degree but in truth most RPing is usually a shrouded extension of yourself so more often than not you come back to what you yourself are comfortable with. If I don't like a short haired tomboyish woman, then I don't. No measure of angst or insults is going to change my mind, nor is someone telling me my tastes are simple going to bother me. I've tasted many fruits, been to many countries and have found my preferences.

To that end, if you love her look then more power to you, but I find it disheartening that people ask for leniency and liberal philosophy when they condemn what someone else likes with little more reproach than "You have no taste". It's all subjective and there is no right answer, people like what they like. Let them like it and mod if they want.

Well, I'm looking forward to people trying to mod Frostbite. That engine is tough, good luck.

According to you. Damn, why is this so hard for some people to grasp? Other people have other tastes and opinions. In some cultures the height of fashion is dyeing your teeth black, stretching your neck to improbable lengths, binding your head into alien shapes, wearing lip plates. Sometimes it's binding your breasts as flat as possible and sometimes it's getting implants the size of, quite literally, beach balls. The idea that long hair on women is inherently and universally more attractive doesn't even rise to the level of laughable. It's not only completely wrong it demonstrates a perniciously normative view of gender and sexuality.

No mods ever, maybe you can hope for a trainer. Frostbite is pretty much unmoddable.

I think people are underestimating what a good hair cut can do for someone's facial features. I personally have a HUGE forehead, but the moment I grew my hair a little and got bangs I looked far more attractive. Certain styles accentuate certain features, for better or worse. When I had short hair, it didn't suit my jaw at all and made it look like I had a really wide head. While I like the short hair paired with Cass' jawline, she'd look a million times better with long hair, but then so would every other character in the game, INCLUDING males. I'd love to see Solas with a head full of hair.

Cullen with Thor hair

Thank you. I personally said I didn't like what she looked like but to say she acts like a boy, not even.

If you even did the one quest Bladenite1481 that she has with a book Varric writes you would she is so far from acting like a boy. She acts straight up like a girly girl. I don't get on the band wagon of defending people that aren't real but what I've seen of her, she's just as much as a girl as Leiliana is.

Your level of denial is off the charts.

Almost all men if they weren't lying(which they often do to females, for various reasons) would agree that all those actresses look much better with longer hair.

Yeah, I'm the one in denial.

A little advice: If you believe that you can determine what people will think and feel based upon whether or not they have a penis and that when they disagree with you (and many do) they must be lying, you're pretty much the poster child for denial.

Don't take being wrong so hard. It happens to the best of us. Denial is just one of the steps along the way to becoming a better person. Once you reach acceptance you can start evaluating where you went wrong and work on making sure it doesn't happen next time.

I couldn't care less if someone wants to give someone long hair. I think it's stupid and pathetic, but whatever.

What I care about is when you say that someone has a "bad nose" (read: "too Jew-y" or "too ethnic" there), or that they want Josie to have "fairer skin" (read: "white" there).

Because THAT is the kind of thing that leads to the "White Isabella" mods that make everyone with the tiniest bit of common sense SUPER uncomfortable.

I'm assuming you have sort of empirical data to back up that fact that you just pulled, literally, right out of your ass?

The only mod that matters is the one that can stop this silly thread dead in its tracks.
