So I just joined this random perilous difficulty mp game and this katari inquisitionhawke guy was cheating hardcore.... 




He was even able to apparently take abilities out from the hotbar of OTHER players in the game...  guy was doing insane damage, giving other people insane damage, and was speedhacking as well.

These leaderboards are probably a joke because of this. I wonder how many of those people on the boards are actually cheating.

Not like leaderboards were particularly useful in the first place. However, I still despise cheaters and encourage posts like this besides that; it's very much the principle of the thing. I'm sure there will be people in here trying to defend him because omgeasymodeyay, but what happens when the hacks start affecting your character instead of just theirs? Won't be fun anymore, eh?

If cheat engine actually works on this game's MP then I'm soooo glad I didn't buy it for PC.  That ruined Dungeon Defenders for me.

PC is only master race for cheaters GG this game plays better on console anyhow.

Our leader boards are legit and I am on them.

This is a PC only problem however. For Consoles this is not possible.

Which is a reason more and more play on consoles, there are extremly limited if any, cheats and hacks.

I have PS3 super slim. Most leaderboards on console games I find, are hacked.

In gtaV there are races won with 1 second time (that take few minutes at least), etc. 

Some people outright hack on consoles, others "just" edit save files.

It doesn't even need much more effort to do so.

 

So cheaters are everywhere. It is a bit easier for PC, but hey - everything is. Every. Thing.

Wow, if he was able to cheat with CE, that's pretty bad - it means that the data just lies there unprotected in the memory asking to be overwritten. I hope BW will find a way to put these to serverside.

 

To the console cool guys - sorry to say but if this works on PC it works on console too. The only difference is that - as most console players are technologically illiterate - you will never notice it. And as every manufacturer just loves to advertise his console as 'unhackabe and cheatless' you can take a wild guess what they do about it. Nothing.

 

If someone wants to cheat, he will. PC at least is more transparent and it's quite easy to determine if something is legit or not. This is not true for consoles, people can blatantly cheat there and noone will be wiser.

It's possible to do on console. Noone is motivated to do so or staying low-key.

I mean really? "Oh hey, I've promoted moar than you." That's pretty much all that says. Leaderboards are more of a measure of experience than skill, at least in DAMP.

lol, that's a broad generalisation.  Didn't some stats show "most" PC gamers use low spec machines to play Minesweeper or Hearts on

 

Also PC-master-hack-race, just like ME3:  N7link caught editing, FasterThanLight caught using 6/6/6/6/6, (edit: i may stand corrected on which BSNers were doing this, apologies) RedJohn caught using FramePS-glitch.  Plus all the others...

 

But meh, it's their choice, as long as they don't wave their epeen and has in my face, i'm cool with them doing what they do.

except in DAMP when you promote your characters get better, so there's that.
