So, i basically hate the MMO style of DA2+DAI, i rather the tactical style of DA:O....
I mostly play using the tactical camera, but there is no way to give order to the character main attack with spirit blade.
If i send the command he will use it once or twice and stop. The best solution i found was set as "prefered", and he wont use it as often as i liked. I have seen myself forced to play "not tactical camera" to take advantage of that skill, and i hate it.
I think this skill should be something like "activate/sustained" skill. Or am i missing a solution? anyone?

What you guys think?
Thanks

Controlling the spirit blade effectively is pretty buggy with KB+M as far as I can tell. If someone else knows the secret to make your character use the spirit blade properly with KB+M, I'd sure like to know too. Otherwise I'd recommend using a controller if you're on PC and not doing that already. If you're on console or already using a controller, I dunno, since I haven't had any issues with it since I switched to controller input.

Thanks for the answer.

And yes, i play on computer using Keyboard+mouse, and i like it that way. I dont want to use controller.

I like playing it very tactical, not like a hack and slash action rpg.
But as i am reading in another post, bunch of people complaining of PC gameplay being broken.

Spirit blade seems to work fine on kb and mouse to me. Long as I'm locked on a enemy, stay close to them, and hold down my sb hot key, it just keeps swinging at them

Tactical mode is noticeably easier to operate with the controller; don't presume just because it can be used for "hack and slash action" it's automatically lacking in the other play style.

I understand. I'm saying that playing entirely in tactical mode, controlling all units and giving commands is much more convenient in DA:I when done with the controller. You don't need to do any button smashing just because it's plugged in.

Seriously, do yourself a favour and give it a try.

I understand... but it doesn't really matter. You're a KE... everyone can die and you'll still be full health with a full barrier tearing everyone a new one. Dragons, bosses, whatever, it doesn't matter.

Really not necessary to control all the characters.

I totally get what you say and I agree with you.  I am just not using a KE at this point because of it.  I have my Templar, Blackwall, Varric and Viv.  Just use Viv as a cc/barrier spam/mine machine.  Works great and I play 100% in tactical view on nightmare.  I'm not going to hold a button to auto-attack.

I don't use a Knight Enchanter but have you tried not using the auto attack command? It might work if you just order a move to point command next to enemy you want to attack and then in behaviours set to follow your self (equivalent to aggressive mode in previous games) and in abilities set spirit blade to preferred and disable everything else. I think that should work.
