Fantastic stuff, everyone. Really appreciated.
Overwhelmed with the amount of power points I need!

you're playing the game wrong... you must be the first person to have problems with power points
you're not supposed to unlock everything at once, just because it's available, and in each zone you unlock, you should find more than enough power to unlock the next one

... close to the end, all maps open ... still around 450 points left, but that INQUISITION POINTS have a max. of 20 + 21000 points (even I have now 23000) it will not unlock level 21 :-(

yeah power points are useless very early in the game and you still keep piling them up... for nothing...
For inquisition level I stoped after hiting level 16 I think.
Power points could have been used to unlock recipe, items, gold, decors for Skyhold etc... But no, twas easier to just let them pile up for nothing =(

Hopefully Bioware can add an easy way to acquire them outside of the game using real money. It would be really helpful and generous of them.

I hope Bioware implements some other uses for power points, by the time I finished the game I had well over 200 points stockpiled and nothing to use them on.

Just about anything will get you a power point or two. It is surprising how you just close a few rifts, plant a few flags, set up a few camps, get a few people to join your cause, and bam, you have 40 power. Just sit back and relax. It is basically to make sure that you have a reasonable level to continue and sort of forces you to explore the world.

I'm not trying to be snarky, but I think the OP of this thread could help you out.

Dude, I have 300 power surplus by the end of the game.
I wonder why are we able to have so much ? It's not like we can convert into resource or perks. ![]()

No need for the passive aggressive quip.

OP: I'm not saying your point is invalid, but I'm having the opposite reaction. Power is far too plentiful. I've unlocked everything and I still have nearly 80 power points.

Its not that bad, but I am 30 hours into the game and just unlocked Skyhold. I have around 50 points XD

Don't waste time and resources on requisitions. All of the other things will give you more than enough power.

After my playthrough i had 258 more power points than necessary to unlock everything.

70 hours in and I feel like I have way more power points than I can actually spend. And I didn't even touch the requisition assignments that grant more points.

I don't think I've ever had fewer than 20 points in excess of anything I required them for. Points get thrown around like confetti, it's far easier to make them than to spend them.
I think there should be a way to trade Power for influence, or for money, or for items.

it is very easy and u can even buy them in Skyhold eventually.

It's a cheap and deceptive mechanic used to artificially extend the game when you have a short/shallow main story.
