I was kicked for a second time last night for just being a Templar. I don't get it. Maybe they hate them because of the lore or maybe there is some terrible template out there ruining it for everyone.
Probably the latter. Kind of like how everybody looked down on archers in the first week of launch because a lot of archer players had bad gear and no idea how to play it effectively. Or maybe they unlocked the Templar, messed up her build and wrote her off as bad without trying something else. Either way, kicking someone for using a particular class is moronic. I think they've done you a service by preventing ya from playing with assholes.

yeah well you don't need the legionnaire, you can do it with any warrior but this is where the team needs a mage with constant barriers.
don't get me wrong mages and archers are fun, but most of the ones ive played with don't seem to think its a team game.
HAHAH my friend stands on them and spams the revive button while talking smack rather funny to watch!
lol I used to do that in Mass Effect to the guys who thought it was a good idea to bring an Avenger to a gold match and died 4 times a wave.

You think there will be a next time? I'd just quit and find someone to play with who isn't a douchebag.
You ditched your team in a team based game and I am the one being a douche bag? If at any time you look around and notice you have no team mates near by there is probably an issue.

Why stay if the team doesn't like you, and won't revive you?
I do revive when you stay with the team. If you want to go out and run off on your own fine ill let you be on your own.

Erm...You're the one not reviving your teammate in a team based game....

By "jump on their bodies", do you mean before or after they've bled out?

After. I am not running across the map and getting my ass kicked like they did because they wanted to be rambo. If I can make it on time and revive them without getting killed myself sure I would revive. Let's face it though that never happens. Too many people expect you to get killed or damn near killed to try to save them when all they had to do was stay with everyone else. I don't even see how I am the bad guy here when other people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to rush through the map when the other 3 people in the game are looting rooms. Some how again though I am being a douche bag.

Another thing I find funny, they can be 2-3 rooms ahead while the rest of the team is still fighting, it's almost like a lazy man's clear

The Warrior classes just aren't fun compared to the ranged classes.
Legionnaire... unkillable but so boring it puts you to sleep.
Templar does great burst damage but is less good at tanking.
Katari dies instantly from a few arrows.
Reaver dies just as quickly as long as rampage is bugged.
Mages are the king of DAMP right now. Sustain is the most important attribute and mages are the only class whose weapons (Staves) have access to upgrades that grant heal on kill, providing easy access to pretty much the only source of reliable healing in the game. On top of that, the Necromancer and Elementalist have access to Death Siphon giving them a ridiculous amount of sustain.
Rogues... well some do quite good damage, but they aren't doing anything mages can do themselves largely.
In short, a party of 4 mages can bring enough barrier/sustain/damage on their own to vastly overshadow tanking/roguing that other classes can bring.

I love it when I see a pug lobby full of mages. It means we can ignore 2/3 of all those pesky treasure rooms and speedrun for experience. ![]()

I'd play legionnaire more if there was a way to bind shield wall to RMB without screwing up every other character. It might be possible to play closer to twitch-based action game on gamepad, but my d-input one is not recognised by DAI, and I have no intention to buy a new one.

the trouble lie in the dps of the warrior too, let's be honest them damage on them skill are low...
indeed when full equiped they deal a lot of damage... but you need the best weapon for be able to be...good.
other point, for a 2 hand weapon warrior, if you take out the reaver skill, you have exactly 4 attack skill. grand slam, pummel strike, wirlwhind and earthshattering strike.
sadly either it's a mono attack with a heavy cd or slow attack with damage that can't compare to archer or mage.
meaning they are slow, not resilient and don't deal enough damage if you don't have the best sword of the game that add +42 str...

Or perhaps you're being a douche bag for not staying with the team and helping loot the rooms. Whatever tickles your fancy. Why run across the map to save a selfish player who only wants to be a team member when it benefits him/her?

You're making a lot of assumptions. You might want to work on that.

I am speaking on my experiences. You took offense to my experience and how I handle it. I think its hilarious personally.

You'd see more of the other classes if health regenerated and the mooks didn't do too much damage.

Wow, sorry man, I'll stop using the class I have fun with and gives me the most satisfaction and enjoyment so I can get you 96 gold :-Dso its come to my attention that mages and archers are clearly over used :l i mean pretty much every lobby i get into has 2-3 mages and 1 archer.. then there is me, either an alchemist or a warrior.
like yeah mages and that are good but we miss out on so many treasure rooms that its not funnyand the main point of these games is to get gold to get better gear..
then what makes it even worse is when you have a keeper/ele that only uses barrier on themselves! WHERES THE TEAMWORK?

I have a much higher win to loss ratio when i use my elementalist. Mainly because a lot of players dont use barriers, and i feel barriers can make threatening very easy. So if half my team is playing necromancer or arcane warrior, what should i do then?
I also prefer to have a balanced team, i love my gold and loot. But i really enjoy beating the boss. I figure if i plan on playing support, i should be able to stick with my mage. I am not a selfish player. I will almost always spam barrier before i do dps to protect my team.

I am the best when i play elementalist. I spam barriers, on the tank and other melee characters. If i see a player about to die i will save them if my barrier is off cooldown. I also do decent damage when i amp up my fire spells.

This is the mage I like, best team mate = easy win.
