I never played Legionaire yet, but I managed to tank DC with a templar.
You can use your shield against the screaming for a little guard boost, against the attack from the ground (still better evade it), against his arm attacks.
This can fail if the other 3 actually don't manage to hold the choke point though, especially the archers hitting me from behind hurt.
Still, I don't like melee characters in MP. It's nowhere near as fun as a necro.
