Parry for Rogue is the most useless skill in game across all classes.

Oh yeah, I use Explosive shot on my archers. It may not be the highest dmg skill they have but it is an AoE skill. And you can do some useful stuff with it, plus as you say pinchusion is a great passive - for any rogue. I took it as soon as I could on my dagger rogue too. 5% build up on daggers? yus prees

Sorry for waking up an old thread but search returned nothing more pertinent. This thread contents is perhaps deprecated with later game changes but also I'm not suing the later DLC just the deluxe version.

Things can attack in an AoE around themselves.

That's right why I picked this skill but I ended realize I couldn't get its non intuitive UI. It's one of the worst feedback of the game and the game isn't good about providing visual feedback of what's happen.

So have you any tips on using this skill?

EDIT: I believe I found my answer myself, when reading about skills toggle from Trepasser (I don't have) to understand what it was, I realized Rogue parry was different and that' it's a skill you need time well, with the awful visual feedback of the game (DAO/DA2 was seriously much better on many points) it's a joke skill, pointless, thanks I have respec (good design choice).

I used parry quite a bit during my first playthrough as a rogue, there are times when the situation calls for it.

so did I skills are only useless if you don't get the best out of them. IMO it depends on your playstyle because in my experience every power has situations it can be useful in. You just need to choose the right one at the right moment. I found it quite useful in th eearly part of the game but once I upgraded and got my spec. I found I didn't really need it but it's still a useful skill it just depends on your playstyle and what you want to do with your character.

Seems like it'd be useful with a more straightforward rogue like Tempest.

yeah that's probably why I found it quite useful as the first rogue I played on DAI was a DW Tempest.
