I hate the crafting system because you cannot see what upgrades fit what weapons. Does ANYONE know of a site that shows what fits what or at the least can tell me what grip I need for this dagger.

Bioware really screwed up here.

The grip name will tell you whether it's for dagger or dual blade dagger.

 

Just like one handed grips only fit one-handed swords, one handed hafts only fit one-handed axes and maces.

I finally got my hands on a dual blade grip schematic. The tooltip really should say if it's only for single blade daggers or not. Lack of info is a pain.

Crafting again. It drives me nuts. It's better than the "Awakenings" rune crafting horror but it's still vague. Just let me know if it will or will not work in the bloody weapon! I honestly think that weapon crafting is the developer assignment for new people. "Welcome to Bioware. Glad to have you on board. Your task is to create a crafting system that uses metal, leather, cloth and whatever else you would like but please, be inconsistent and unclear" "can't I just jump out a window instead?" "You can but we have nets for that"

It does-it'll say Dagger or Dual Blade Dagger.

I had that trouble. The schematic says what weapon the grip can be used with, but the grip itself doesn't, so you need to just know at that point. I made a dual blade grip, and I couldn't equip it, it wasn't until later than I learned there were "dual blade" weapons, I just figured it was a name. Same with 2-handed weapons, I always forget which grip is for which.

The crafting sucks.  Too many choices, and most of the time there is a clear best mat/recipe.  But much worse than the substance is the UI.  So many different views and operations exist between figuring out what to craft and finally getting the finished product equipped.
