They do it in party banter sure but thinking back to ME3 on the Normandy everyone has their own area for you to come to them but you could at times enter areas and see like James cooking eggs or shooting the **** with Garrus or characters would be in the crew quarters chatting etc. Seems like a missed opportunity with a place like Skyhold which is so big but mostly empty. Would have liked to see somebody walking into one of Sera's famous pranks which people talk about or people hanging out together in the bar or something. You kinda see it in certain cut scenes but it would have been fun to see people appear elsewhere for little things now and again.

Yes, my favorite parts of these games is character interaction so the more, the better.

Yes. Everyone seemed so lonely. Especially poor Blackwall sitting in the nasty stables.

Yeees. They don't even need to do it in-game for me to see. Even if they would just discuss their games of Wicked Grace in banter like the DA2 guys did, I'd be happy. These guys feel so distant from one another.

Yeah even in DA:O where everyone was awkwardly standing 15 feet from each other in camp avoiding eye contact I had more of an impression that we were all a cohesive group. DA:I's crew only seems to hang out with each other during missions.

I think it felt that way also because you basically recruited them to an organization, and we all know how people tend to not communicate in those. In DA2 your companions were practically a big family same with DAO.

Looking back there were instances which had random NPC's interacting with advisors like Leliana giving orders and getting information and Josephine meeting with somebody. Companions just do their own thing though. I think there is comradery in any group fighting for a cause but the companions of the Inquisitor seem like they don't really want to hang out or even talk unless you are involved XD

There were instances like playing Wicked Grace with your party. It always seemed like it was one of the rare cases where there was any actual camaraderie among the inner circle. With how spread out they were all over the castle it made it seem like they kinda hated each other. lol

More interaction between characters is always better, it's on the biggest pieces that made the Citadel DLC for ME amazing! The wicked grace cut scene was wonderful. I replayed it so many times for all the different reactions.  Glorious! Personally I don't play bioware games for open worlds, I play them for story and I couldn't help but feel like the story was clunky at times because of the open world.  I would get caught up in doing the menial stuff and then when I moved on in the story I often felt like I missed something or forgot something important.  I like it, don't get me wrong, but I definitely need a few more replays I think.  Oh darn...

Yeah i liked how in mass effect your companions would move around and would sometimes speak to each other.

On the other hand Skyhold is so much bigger than Normandy and it would be such a hassle if they kept moving around; thus making it difficult to find them

Probably wan't included as much because of how many companions, advisors, and minor npc's there were, unlike da2 and me3 which had smaller teams but more interaction, can't have both i guess

Yesss! I wish there was more talking about current events too. ME you talked a lot about things that just happened and asked their opinions on it. More cut scenes even for friend only companions. I get romances are big, but I'd like more cut scenes for non-romances too. INTERACTION NOW PLZ.

And once more, behold the flawed concept of Skyhold. If it is so big but the total number of characters we can interact with don't measure up to fill out the place, then it would've been better to downsize the place. It's just way too big for its own good, and like you guys say, it reduces the feeling of being in it together, you and your companions, because everyone are isolated from one another.

It doesn't feel dead, but it's just way too big.

I liked Haven a lot better to be honest.
