Such happens when opinions are stated round these parts, don't you just love censorship? Anyway, I thought I'd make a thread to commemorate the occasion. Something to remember it by, no? You may all now congratulate me and leave cookies.

I like how my warning points show up right next to my post as if to say "this guy is a bad guy forever because he had an opinion once". How very 1984.

Aw, just for me? Bioware mods, you shouldn't have! I think I'm going to cry.

Yes I remember the old BSN when we could say things like Nazi, ****, **** and ******, without them being autocensored.

That I basically have no rights and all shall bow down and lick boot to mods on a power trip? I believe I missed that part when I signed up. But whatever, it's fun watching children police the children.

Privileged scum. By stating an opinion not accepted by the mods you are part of the toxicity killing the BSN, now go back to posting about riding the bull and drinking quarian sweat like everybody else.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you're not old enough to drink, so let me explain something about how bars work. The owner opens the bar to any members of the public who want to come in, drink, maybe eat, and have a good time. But if he doesn't like somebody's behavior, he can ask them to shape up, or to leave, or just have them removed. That's not a violation of anyone's rights, constitutional or otherwise. And if a patron is shouting obscenities at the top of his lungs, he's going to get thrown out.

These forums work like that. Bioware is the owner, and if they don't like our behavior, they can tell us to cool it, or show us the door. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from social consequences, especially if your speech reveals you to be a jerk.

People have weird ideas about this whole freedom of speech thing.

It's only saying the government can't tell you to STFU. At no point during this right's inception has there ever been a point that anyone else has to abide by it too. BioWare/EA is not a government and as such not responsible to uphold any such right. Nevermind that this freedom of speech only applies within any space having a legislative jurisdiction of some sort. The internet doesn't have that. The legislative that governs it is the ToS you signed when you opened an account here. THAT is the rule you have to post by.

Oh must we go through this?

Honestly, I don't even remember what the warning was about. I was simply making light of how rediculous it was. And we aren't in some dive bar, bro. This isn't a serious business post. But I do imagine people like those posting here telling people how being loaded on trains to a ditch isn't such a bad thing because Adolf owns the trains. I guess this is why humanity has lived on it's knees throughout recorded history, too many dogs looking for a pat on the head.

You don't even remember why you got warned? How can you not remember? Didn't the mod send you a PM or something?

Also, I'm pretty sure no one here would argue that sending millions of people to die in extermination camps is okay. If that's what you're imagining then I think you've got the wrong impression (to put it lightly) of the other posters here.

Pssh, I don't read things mods send me! Deleted!

That will show them who's in charge.

Well that's boring. Arguing with mods over PM is part of the fun.
