I enjoyed both male voices, but I wish both had had an accent. I love the deep, bass sound of the american voice, but the lack of accent seems so very jarring.
Which inquisitor voice do you like the most?

He's there for dwarves and qunari, who typically have American accents

This. She takes some warming up to and in the beginning of the game can come across as a bit awkward and stiff. But once her 'authority' sets in, she kills it. When she speaks in a room or gives a command I find myself compelled along with the rest of my party to do as she says. The fact I made her an elf is even better.
Edit: as a side note, anyone planning to play through 4 times to hear each performance in full? I feel like I wouldn't be doing my diligence otherwise.
Sumalee's voice with an elf surprised me, because I was expecting it to be jarring but fit really well.
I do like the other voice actors for the Inquisitor so I'll eventually be doing at least one playthrough with each voice.

I use the American (dwarf) voice for my human male noble because it suits him. Also I picked it because I'm from the UK where pretty much everyone has Ferelden accents so it's really dull for me to have my own character talk that way too. I can see the appeal if you are American and like the whole English accent thing (or indeed just prefer English accents over American ones) in fantasy games but for me it's every day.

Human Mage - British Female
Dalish Rogue - American Female
Human Warrior - British Male
I mostly default to whatever British voice option there is because the accent is more familiar to me and easier to listen to for 60+ hours.

I chose brit male for my human mage, as he sounded more intellectual, but after 40 hours he's starting to annoy. He's constantly aloof & cold. I want to shake him.
I think that's a matter of perception. Mine sounds empathetic and caring to me, lol. Self controled, yes, but by no means aloof and uncaring. I really like the voice acting for the british male.
I'd like to try the female voices, but I just can't play them. The animations drive me crazy.

I've LoL'd a couple times at my dainty elf when she sits on the throne. Jesus bioware. Err on the side of less masculine next time. I think I overlooked this as Shepard because Jennifer hale carried a bit of masculinity into the role and she was a soldier.

I prefer both of the British voices, which surprises me. I liked the deeper tone of the American male voice, but unfortunately I didn't like his delivery on some of the lines. One in particular sticks out, when Leliana is blaming the Maker for allowing The Divine to be killed and Inquisitor says "Maybe you should blame her killer." The male American actor says it in such a weird, adolescent way. He's like "umm, well maybe you should blame her killer...??" It sounds like he wanted to add "duh, Leliana" to the end of that. That really irked me.
The other actors didn't say it like that.
As for the female, I have no problem with the American actress, but come on... Alix Wilton Regan. Traynor.
I haven't started a female playthrough yet, but that voice pick is an easy choice for me. I hope Regan continues to get a lot more voice work in games, a la Jennifer Hale, because I think she's great.
What really surprised me abut the voice acting was Krem. I wouldn't in a million years have guessed that Krem was voiced by Jennifer Hale.
Speaking of Jennifer Hale, yeah I was surprised too. She's so prevalent in video games now, it's usually really easy to identify Jennifer Hale's voice -- British or American flavor. But I had no idea that was her. I feel like we've been taking her for granted in video games lately, even getting a little tired of hearing her voice in so many games. But she is truly very talented, and we're lucky that she does so much voice work in video games.

I really like Sumalee. Her sort of stoic sound fit my Qunari nicely, but I still found she went from commanding, intimidating, to caring very well. She sounded how I'd expect someone like the Inquisitor to sound, simply put.
The way she delivers her flirty lines also gets me hot and bothered. Ahem.

Honestly, as soon as I met Krem I thought to myself, "why is Jen Hale voicing a guy?" so I checked the wiki and kinda spoiled it for myself. Well, the "reveal" anyway. Her voice is far too recognisable.
"Guy"
By animations you mean how the inquisitor sits like a dude with legs spread wide or walks like a dude in every cutscene?

There is no such thing as sitting like a dude in Bioware world.
You are intolerant for insulting the way the inquisitor sits.

I loved Sumalee in Transformers Prime but Alix sounds more emotive so I prefer her.

Good to hear! Was planning on playing a FemQun next, with her voice.

I never talked to Traynor much (didn't like the character) and so I don't get reminded of her with my Female Inquisitor.
But definitely Alix Regan for female and I think I like Jon Curry for male but I haven't done much with my male Inquisitor yet.

Yeah, he's a bit plummy, too. When he was in scenes with my male Hawke, I couldn't get over how much more badass Hawke's voice was.
Male British Inquisitor has the kind of voice you expect to say "jolly good show, old chap!" and "what ho?".

For me, its really relevant to who I'm playing. That is also directly based on how they look. Before I fixed my Elf, he didn't look like either voice fit him. After I fixed him up, it looked better, then improved as the game has gone on.
At a guess, until I see otherwise, the British voice will probably be good for Elves or Humans (the latter depending on their face), and the American for the Dwarves, Qunari or Humans (again, the last depending on their face).
The ONLY reason this could change, is if they add a Voice Pitch option as DLC later (included with MORE HAIRSTYLES), as I'd want a bit deeper voice for a Qunari or Dwarf (or some other strong variation of human).
My sister said if they do that, she's going to make a voice as high pitched as possible and make tinkerbell. ![]()

I feel the two female voices were far better than the males. The american voice wasn't very consistent. Some times it was appropriately deep, others it went very soft almost high pitched. At least the english male managed to keep it consistent, but he sounds like a random peasant for some reason.

English ones just fit better in my opinion to bad there wasn't a welsh or Scottish ones to fit the elf and dwarf
This all of it "sigh" also did anyone else find it strange for your dailish elf to be yelling out (Maker take you) every couple of minutes or so in battle or is that just me?
Ps it suited the dwarf but I found the pesonaltys to be very angry and way to serious imo it was just very unsettling to have my female elf all the sudden screen out DIE!!! After Killing somthing especially when I was playing I kind and caring character.

The British guy sounds so much better. He just seems a lot more expressive. Yeah, particularly with the snark.
His conversation with Hawke was bad? His "I am a horde of rampaging qunari" was ****ing perfect.

Agreed, when i first heard the voice i thought he sounded great, i was even considering using him for a Tyrion Lannister playthrough, but he never brings it to that higher gear when he needs too.

Dragon Age dwarves do not have Scottish accents. They normally have North American accents. Sometimes they have English accents, probably from spending a lot of time on the surface with humans and elves.
