So, as the title suggests, none of my saves are showing up in the utility.  I'm very much at a loss of what to do here. I didn't buy the game to start fresh, as half-tempted as I am. :( I've tried copying and pasting my saves from the ME1 folder to the ME2 one, but to no avail.

I just don't really get it. Anyone else having this trouble?

The utility outside the game is just to point to the folder. Once you start the game and select import it will look at that folder and give you more options.

C:/Users/USERNAME/Documents/BioWare/Mass Effect/Save

C:/Documents and Settings/USERNAME/My Documents/BioWare/Mass Effect/Save

EDIT: Forums are not correctly handling the backslash. <_<

EDIT2: Just noticed that the user placeholder with angle brackets was stripped from the post.

so I figured it out (for the PC version anyway). within your mass effect 2 save directory there is a subdirectory called ME1 that is created AFTER you run the import utility in game, so if you copy and paste everything from
C:/Users/Documents/BioWare/Mass Effect/Save into C:\\\\Users\\Alex\\Documents\\BioWare\\\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1 you will be set. (btw, you're name doesn't have to be Alex :P)

You only need to copy the save files that start with Char_. Those are created at end-game and what is used for importing in ME2.

I have a VERY similar problem that is REALLY PISSING ME OFF!! Even after completing no less than TWO CONSECUTIVE PLAYTHROUGHS of ME1 the files for my ME1 saves are STILL NOT SHOWING UP in my ME1 folder in My Documents, but my ME2 saves are showing up clear as day. If you have ANY suggestions on how to fix this I would welcome them.

Please leave corpses this rotten and falling apart safely buried. Six months old, no older. Thank you.

I posted a solution to something similar a couple weeks ago, maybe it will help?
