I want to explain why cheating on Dragon Age Inquisition is just as bad as pirating the game (I seem to have a lot of people angry over this), and it does too effect others when you cheat on single player.

Cheating by using the cheat engine forcefully alters the game. If you go to your point section on Origins it clearly shows you that while you play the game, and gain achievements you also gain points from it.

I'm not entirely sure what these points consist with, or even know what you can do to them once you accumulated enough. Not sure if you can purchase DLC.

They're like points next to your gamertag on xbox. They are there to show off.

I tried item duping on the ps4, it was easy enough and it made crafting a lot faster.  However, it felt wrong and it also made the dragon fights beyond the first one pointless-so I'll probably never do that again.  Aside from that, I don't feel like crafting is all that necessary and money has never been an issue for me in the game.

Gotta love someone who rants about something without even understanding how "points" work...

Looks like I need to unsubscribe to Lady Insanity's Youtube channel since she advocates cheating.

Pffft, Anders used cheat codes to cure his tranquil buddy.

I personally wouldn't cheat... but what's the harm in someone doing so in a solo game that doesn't effect others? It's their choice. I think it ruins the experience, maybe they don't. Now for multiplayer, that's obviously a different story. But single player? I don't see it as a big deal. xP

Cheating can be used responsibly? I never knew that.

Modifying a single player game is not cheating. If you want god mode or whatever that is up to you.

I thought banning was referring to multiplayer to prevent people from creating overpowered characters and getting unfair advantage over others.
If its a single-player game i dont see the issue. I mean its your game so you can break it as much as you want. Its not like you are engaging in piracy, you bought the game after all.
I've used cheat engine to give my Quizzy armor in skyhold simply to make her more badass during judgement scenes and remove the awful PJs. I dont see how what i did affects anyone else's enjoyment of the game or how it leads to piracy.

Frankly, the comparison is daft.
