I think they should get rid of heterosexual male romances completely and just concentrate on the heterosexual female, lesbian and gay demographic. The male patriarchy has had enough influence in games and it needs to stop. Hopefully there will be no straight male options in the next game.

I don't see what is funny about that. Straight males have enough catering done for them; they need to step aside and let others enjoy the game.

And how exactly are we catered to, pray tell? How do the heterosexual romances in any way affect the gay/lesbian romances in this game? Stop while your ahead.

Yes but Gaider doesn't want Dwarf Romances.
That's not what he said. He said asking for a "Dwarf" romance doesn't interest him because its just a request for a physical type, not a character. He doesn't consider saying "I want a dwarf romance" to be any different than saying "I want a Black human romance."
The full discussion was about how the writers at bioware are motivated to write interesting characters, not just create fetish fuel. So don't say "I want a Dwarf romance." Talk about the kind of person you are interested in. Dagna would be an interesting romance because you could explore the whole surfacer-traditionalist dwarf conflict as well as alternative approaches to magic and the general oblivious mad scientist schtick. As well as being adorable.

Straight male romances take away from resources that are better devoted to female and gay romances.

I'm waiting for the "Shove down the our throat" reasoning, which is hilarious, because throat shoving...

Oh? And where is the evidence to support such a grande statement? Please, do share. You are very well aware that females get the most romance options in this game right?

Still not enough. Straight men should have no romance options.

So that statement isn't heterophobic at all, but me saying that heterosexual males were not catered to in this game is homophobic. Brilliant debate. I have clearly lost this argument.

We're all in agreement about a dwarf romance in the next game, right?
BW plz, I've wanted a dwarf romance since I discovered my dwarf Warden couldnt romance oghren or sigrit D:
edit for clarity
2nd edit: Jaron Oberyn, from what I have seen Stardusk has been trolling the forums pretty hard lately, whining about one thing or another.

There is no such thing as heterophobia, only homophobia. The fact that straight males still have romance options IS catering to them.

That has become increasingly apparent. Some people are just full of hate and have way too much time on their hands.

This was amusing but surely you realise I am taking the ******, yes? I am making fun of the SJWs and their ilk. The straight male options were terrible; physically unattractive and inferior in quality to the other romances in the game but that is the direction BW has been going in. That said, I can roleplay anything so currently doing a Solas romance, Blackwall romance and Dorian romance despite being a straight male or perhaps because of it, because the options for gay men and women are much better, might as well take advantage of it. No hard feeling there.

Personally I didn't find the heterosexual romances unattractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. I personally haven't done any other romances, but I have seen the videos online and I find Cassandra/Josephine to be the most well done out of them all. But again, that's an opinion. One that changes from player to player.
I think Bioware wanted to go the extra mile with LGBT romances because there was a distinct lack in previous games. But I don't feel in any way that they are superior to the hetero romances in terms of quality. If anything I feel sorry for lesbian players who have to deal with Sera as she is just plain insane.
Sadly, I think this is what some people want.
Which is sad, because Bioware has finally had a game where people of any orientation could feel welcome. No need to punish heterosexual players for the absence of LGBT romances in previous titles. I doubt they would take out heterosexual romances though. You can't be for tolerance, except for when it comes to one group.

Most of the female Inquisitor romances were really engaging. The male side however was truly disappointing, hope they improve on that department. I'd trade Dorian for Blackwall in a heartbeat, even Cassandra for Sera...

Thank you. It's nice to see that someone understands the true meaning of tolerance.
Now if we could just teach that to people who encourage BioWare to make their games more difficult with every iteration, whining that even "easy" shouldn't be easy. I'd rather BioWare make a "super-insanity" mode for the whiners instead of changing everything to suit them. The Inquisitor feels ridiculously underpowered in this game. I'm sick of my two-handed dagger rogue having to run away from everyone like she was Hawke fighting the Arishok.

DW rogue is bugged, check out my thread on the topic, does not track properly.
And forget tolerance. The SJWs are not interested in tolerance just getting their way. Obviously people disagree but the female and gay romances seem a lot better than the straight one (yes only one). I think this trend will continue in the future.

Actually Gays/Lesbians got equal treatment to Heterosexual if you think about it. Taking bisexual romances out, gays have Dorian while Lesbians have Sera and Hetero men have Cassandra. When you add in the bisexuals (Josephine, IB) it still evens out. As I mentioned above, female players got the most options. As long as we continue to get 2 quality choices like DAI, I can't complain.

Tolerance goes both ways, and I'm sure Bioware is aware of that. There's nothing to worry about.

Try being a straight female in ME...you either get Kaidan, who is utterly nauseating with his whining about regs right after you screwed his brains out or Garrus/Batman. Pick Thane, he dies despite all the hints that there would be a cure to his disease. Or, you can pick Jacob, who they turn into the most racist stereotype I've ever seen, unable to keep his pants zipped for six months while you were locked away and turning into someone's baby daddy. Then they had the utter gall to have Kaidan tell you he "forgave" you for falling for Thane, when he was the one who told you in ME2 that he wished you were really dead rather than having Cerberus save you. ME3 was sickening, in more ways than one.
And, for some reason, BioWare loves to give straight females the shaft with these "bittersweet" romances that make me want to stab myself in the head with a firepoker. So yeah, I feel your pain. I'm glad they didn't shaft straight females as bad as before, but I don't like it that you guys feel screwed over. I don't care if they make big-boobed characters or scantily clad characters like Morrigan to appeal to you guys. And if that does offend some people, they need to get over it.
