Where are they?

Yes, it's not quite as good as the best staves (Masterwork Archon, Seer, First Enchanter, all of which use 22 mats for damage), but if you like the look, it might be for you. It's unlocked after doing a series of War Table Operations, only if you choose to exile the Grey Wardens at the end of Here Lies the Abyss.

Check the chest in the forge room in skyhold again as you progress through the main story, they should be in there. Can't remember exactly when though.

It showed up for me after doing the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts quest.

 

I found a staff in Val Royeaux called Purity that deals 147 dps. I forget the cost, but it wasn't available for use until the player reached level 17.

Masterwork Archon requires you to sacrifice the Chargers.

However, your can buy the First Enchanter staff from Suledin Keep and you can find the Seer schematic.

How about upgrades parts for staffs? Blades/handles etc, I seem to be lacking in finding any.

Honestly saving the ships wasn't too bad. U lose the chargers, which was kind of bitter, but u get the Qunari navy and Tallis is involved in their war room missions.

Does anyone have pics of the First Enchanter and Seer staves?

 

I want optimal stats, but also don't wanna be carrying around no ugly stick.

I don't have the seer staff, but this is the first enchanter staff.

I consider the Seer Staff the best in game.  Two Offensive Leather slots means 21% crit chance, which isn't an easy stat for mages to get.  In a vaacum crit chance isn't as good of a stat as Attack nor is it as good for mages as it is for rogues but it's not the damage that makes it good but the Flash Point procs.  On a rift mage it's super amazing between Flash Point, mana on damage, and spamming spells like Barrage and Chain Lightning.

Does anybody know the stats/ appearance of the staff of the sentinel? I saw it listed as the reward for a war table mission but haven't gotten it in my game. I hate the looks of all the tier 3 staffs I have come across. The master archon staff is ok, but I haven't gotten it either. I like the superior staff of the dragon, but it has such inferior stats that I can't justify using it, especially since you can't apply upgrades. I wish the staff toppers could be exchanged like staff blades.. sigh... this crafting system leaves much to be desired.

where can you find the seer staff schematic?, unfortunately even the official game guide doesn't detail weapons hardly at all, all it will tell you is if a merchant carries it in their wares, but that is about it
