I had some issues with the AI trying to target some dragonling that was way far away and then running around because it couldn't figure out how to climb a hill or find a path. Usually if you just tell your companions to disengage they will stop running around and revert to following you and then resume attacking when you attack. Alternately, clear command should get them to stop targeting random enemies that are far away.

I thought this was a thead about how dragons are too easy to beat, using cole's mark of death with sera's thousand cuts doing 50 million points of damage in two tenths of a second or something.

Bull and Cole derp out on dragons because of how stupid the AI is, especially for melee. Also, dragons have a wonky hitbox because they're huge. It's a standard large mob issue in basically every game ever.
Mark of Death + Thousand Cuts does pretty much instagib dragons, but that's not a dragon problem. It's a those-two-skills problem. Thousand cuts is ridiculously overpowered and pretty much everyone knows it. Combined with Mark of Death doubling its output there's just no competition.
Edit: I can't type.

Cole derps out on a lot more things then just dragons. The AI can't handle dual wield rogues. At all. Ever. Even nugs kick his ass.
If you want to use him and don't intend to micro-managehim/play as him, make him an Archer. As an Assassin archer, he's actually pretty damned good.
