P.S. Please fix this problem asap. I use only one e-mail. Period. Why doesn't my xbl tag link with my.. forget it. You have beaten me. I give up EA I have lost faith in all your future games and your support for your customers. I will think twice before I jump on your next purchase.

Odd to quote myself but I made it to 3 and it booted me once again. Someone needs to be flogged.

Not sure why people are having so many issues. I started up the game, logged into my EA account when it asked for it, then added the cerebus code and that was it. Sure I had to go online and put in the codes for the CE armor and the Gamespot armor, but that was it. Maybe I had an easier time since I already had an account from DAO which I had for the PC. As for linking the Xbox account to the EA one, it did that automatically when I logged in with the Xbox.

A)  You entered the promo code in the wrong EA account, which for one reason or another is not linked to your xboxlive gamertag

Solution:  Go to www.support.ea.com
                  Log in
                  Now, under the Support Links column on the left side of the page, click on the Email Us link.
                  Fill out the information, starting with console type [Xbox 360],  game [Mass Effect],  specific title
                               of game [Mass Effect 2],  category of problem [Game Information],  and specific problem
                               you are having [Promotions/Special Offers]
                  After selecting all these options from the drop down menus, you are presented with the option of either
                               emailing EA Support, or going into a live chat session with a EA customer service rep (CSR)
                  Select Live Chat, and wait for your turn in the que (took me a half hour cuz i was 30th in line)
                  Explain to the CSR that your gamertag is linked to the wrong EA Master Account, follow his instructions,
                                and the CSR should be able to re-link your gamertag to the proper Account.

This shouldnt take more than a half hour, depending on how many people are quequed for the chat sessions, which seems to be a lot.  Its worth the wait though, and the CSRs are pretty helpful.

******In order to download the bonus items, your xboxlive gamertag must be linked to the EA Master Account that you redeem the code on.*****

I hope this helps everyone else who has been super confused about this whole process

it keeps kicking me out at the 3 min mark <_<

idk what to tell you, just keep trying. it wouldnt hurt to send an email to EA Support either while youre waiting in the que. it just takes some patience, but once you do get the through the CSR will be able to make sure that you get your bonus items on the right account and the right gamertag.



on an aside, i really dont understand why they couldnt just give us a code to enter on xboxlive, and we would be prompted for such code when we try and download the bonus items. would make this process a whole lot less confusing

i downloaded the armor and gun on a pc
when i click on it
it says the game is not installed,
i put it in the c drive,
does this mean installed in the xbox360...

do you have pc or xbox version?  id check to make sure that the download is going to the correct location on you hdd if its for pc. if not, contact support

So far far this blows. EA should have made it a code just like they did for Dragon Age and Bunjie made for ODST. I'm thinking about returning the game as unsatisfied. At least I'll get some credit from Gamestop.

its in the empty case u take to the front when u preordered. i had to fight to get them to give it to me. the card with the code for the inferno armor is in there.

the is so retarded they tell you to go to the website on the card when it all could have been done from inside the game....why not just tell ppl the use the ingame option...... i waited on the phone for a half an hour then they hung up on me gonna try chat and see if i have any better luck..if i get booted im taking this game back this is BS

hey i have the pre oder code and the cerberus network code, and i put both codes in and it gave me 3 downloadable things, but when i go on my xbox 360 there r only 2 downloadable things, crash site n the armor 1,, do i get zaeed te lethal gun man 2 hire with the download for the crash site?????

zaeed is not available on xboxlive yet, i believe that this has been posted several times by the devs somewhere. i will add this fact to the first post so people know this.

OK I figured out everything I did wrong on my own and fixed it before I even started the game yet I can't find the bonus armor anywhere!!! its not in my private terminal does ANYONE have that problem do I have to restart my game Im on my third mission now >:0 so fin angry right now

thank you ea and bioware you have ruined this game for me with this stupid process that we have to o throuh to get our bonus content i hope you are happy im sure alot of ppl will be taking this back due to this problem

Okay guys let me clear this up, even if it downloads to your PC, you will still have it AS LONG as you registered it to the account you play on. Just click on extra>DLC>Then download the content, MAKE SURE your EA account is linked to your xbl account, otherwise I don't know what to say guys. It just auto downloads to PC, but it will auto link to your 360 account, which you can download it there in extras, also you enter the ceberus or w/e code in game. I hope this clears things up for you guys.

LOL Just found out you have to have mass effect 1 to link old chars, xDDD
