I don't really see the parallel. Jar Jar Binks basically came off like some sort of insipid Stepin Fetchit parody whose sole purpose was to provide slapstick.

Sera is a parody of a person obsessed with the Frankfurt school of thought regarding class in society and nothing else whose sole purpose was to provide slapstick and trolling...

The most slapstick I've seen in this game so far are the fainting Orlesians in Val Royeaux.
Or maybe the definition of slapstick changed. It is the internet, so anything can happen.

I dunno. If Sera is a parody, then Minsc and Jan Jansen, from BG2, falls under that category too. And I don't know many people who didn't like those two.

"Turnips!"
Not all parody hits well though for some people. Comedy by it's very nature and parody is very subjective.

I remember killing a Lich, with Jansen single handedly. Invisibility. Lots of traps behind the lich. Walked up in front of him. Blasted him into the traps with Ring of the Ram.

Sera make me laugh and she is fun but Isabela is all that and more, she feels real, i defiantly like her much more, she's one of my favorite DA characters

in real life, sera can talk me to death if she talks while I will probably sleep and sh*it in the bar waiting to buy Isabella a pint.

I just watched that scene, the Inquisitor doesn't mention anything about having her heart broken or Solas leaving her. She just says that it turned out her Dałish markings were slave brands, which strikes Sera as hilarious because she's had "elfie elves" looking down on her for not being all broken up about a lost grand history that has no relevance to her her entire life. To expect her to be telepathically aware of what Solas did and adopt a special sensitivity is a bit silly.
You're aware that throughout the entire series, the entire party seems to instantly know what's going on with the PC romantically right? Party gossip or telepathy, yes, I do expect that she was aware of it because it has always been that way with Dragon Age.

What about city elves? What about common courtesy for your people's culture even if its something that you don't believe? How about that time where she condemns some of the "little people" that she supposedly protects in order to get at one noble?
She doesn't look down on city elves unless they put on airs like the Dalish do. And, again, get off the idea that its "her" culture. Dalish/Ancient Elf is no more her culture than German is mine. Actually, German is probably more mine than Dalish elf is hers, because there are actual German speakers only 3 generations back in my family. Whereas there's nothing Dalish in her cultural background for who knows how long. Hell, she doesn't even qualify for "elf trained only" gear.
I'd have to look at the scene again, but I don't believe she intentionally threw away any lives to get at that noble. That was just a total screw up where she got played. As far as she was aware going in, she was helping people.

You actually need to work for her loyalty. You can't just ignore her and assume she will come to your rescue when the time comes just because you allowed her to tag along.
I like the element of consequences involved with her character. The entire city depends on wether you managed to be her friend or not.lol, and even if you betray her to the qunari she escapes anyway(which means you probably want to watch you back).
I know how it works. And that's rather the point. Isabella is completely irresponsible and only some personal relationship guilt tripping gets her to come back and fix her total screw ups.
Sera, on the other hand, is there to support the inquisition/stop the bad guys and make the world safe again whether she likes you or not. She may give you **** for being some pagan mage lover, but she doesn't let that keep her from trying to take down Coryphetits.

Yes, Sera seems to direct the mocking at the whole dalish thing in general, not your inquisitor who romanced Solas.
Ugh, why can't i edit the post to add another quote.

Uh, what? I don't know what game you are playing, but she talked quite a bit about him and comments that she likes to make fun of his name so he's less scary. If you mean she doesn't believe he's a god or that he walked around and saw the actual Throne of the Maker literally, well that's a different matter. No one actually knows the truth of that. You just have what a madman claims is the case.

Tell us again how we're wrong for judging Sera by her actions. That was funny as hell. One of the worst defenses of someone I've heard in 22 years on the Internet. Truly 0/10.

Oh, this is great. Now you're questioning that Corypheus is what he clearly is to try and defend this awful, awful character. Yes, it's just a madman's claims! The fact that he's a highly intelligent darkspawn that command magic "that would shame any magister" who was locked away for 1,000 years by the wardens doesn't mean anything! He's just a raving hobo, surely! Probably ate a rat last night! LOL, man, Sera defenders are too much.

Except that at the beginning of that very conversation she asks what happened because she just saw Lavellan go off with Solas and come back without Vallaslin, and that's all. She makes it clear that she doesn't know. So do other characters that remark on the Inquisitor's sudden lack of facial tattoos. You're aware that throughout the entire series, the entire party seems to instantly know what's going on with the PC romantically right? Nope, my post meant to those people who judge Sera only (see the word only?) by her actions whereas others do the same **** too, i.e. Blackwall's comment on Dorian not being a man. A lot of the characters say ****. You can judge her all you want, but i find the hypocrisy pretty amusing.
Stay butthurt. You hate Sera so much, you can't even see past that. Your posts are funny. ![]()

Even if she doesn't know, it's still a real scumbag thing to do. Believe me, nobody enjoys the revelation about the blood writing more than I do. As Bull would say, Taarsidath-an halsaam. But rubbing it in the face of one of the few good Dalish, and a supposed friend no less... wow. Also, why are we not allowed to call her every low intelligence name in the book when Flemeth proves Mythal is/was real? You know, like she does to the Inquisitor if they even give pause to the idea that Mythal was real?

Its not questioning anything to say Corypheus is a raving lunatic. He may be an ancient magister, but he's still a raging lunatic.
