I seem to be stuck on this quest.  I've been running around for a while and nothing seems to be happening.  I've managed to find everything (I think) in the Grand Library, including the hidden door.  Apparently, after I return to the ballroom, a cutscene is supposed to happen and I get a key to the next area I need to explore.  However, I don't get a cutscene, nor do any new NPCs to interact with appear.

 

I got the key to only one of the storerooms on the outside; was there something necessary for plot progression in the one I missed?

 

I'm at a bit of a loss and any help would be appreciated.

Did you hear the bell ringing while in the library? You need to find the info on the occult advisor.

I got that, according to the quest journal.  The part "Explore the Grand Library for information on the Empress's Occult Advisor" is greyed out.  "Investigate the Servant's Quarters" and "Investigate Briala's agents" are still active.

Do the investigate Briala's agents, and that should probably trigger the encounter with the advisor(the advisor gives you the key to the servan't quarter)

Did you open the door with the bloodtrail on the balcony?  Did you search the balcony for a halla statue?  That's what hung me up.

Okay, this happened to me, too.  Go back to the top of the trellis you climbed to get into the Library; at the top of that there are two doors, the one into the library itself (which is to your right and at the end of the blood trail) and one to your left.  The door to your left was probably locked the first time you checked it, but check it now and it should be unlocked.  On the floor in that room there will be some documents you need; once you pick those up the bell will ring for you to head to the ballroom and once you do so you'll get the cutscene with the Queen's Advisor.

Anyone figure out what to do with the statues that light up when you click them?

Uh the halla statue unlocks the door.

There's a room with like 8 statues, and they light up when you click them. It's on the balcony. Looks like a puzzle.

I started over and everything went smoothly this time.  I'm not sure what the problem was--I did everything the same.  Oh, well, at least it's done.

Your suppose to light the statues with the veil fire and It's suppose to open a door but I never found the door.

You light the statues in a certain way and it opens a hidden door on the floor in the middle of the room(between those statues). It has some random loot.
