After romancing Solas? So you just get to Skyhold and get the Fade scene but you haven't done his personal quest?

I'm not sure does flirting with Cullen affect his romance but I don't flirt with others just to be safe.

Oh no, I have done his personal quest.

I flirted with Cullen at Haven but not at Skyhold and my Solas romance was okay.    You should still get the Fade dream sequence showing Haven even if you are not in a romance with him.    My male Lavellan got this on his first conversation in Skyhold even though he had sided with the Templars (although conscripting not allies).   You just don't get the flirt option with anyone other than a female elf.    You have to take the kiss option, even though it makes you seem a bit forward, because otherwise you'll not overcome his inhibitions about starting a romance.    Unless you had some serious disapproval before reaching  Skyhold, you ought to get that conversation fairly early on.   If you didn't then I think you were bugged.

In my current playthrough as a female elf mage I flirted relentlessly with EVERYONE from the moment I got to Haven - Cass, Cullen, Bull, Josephine, Blackwall.  Solas included.  In the dream sequence the option was there to romance him, but ultimately I decided I just don't like him enough personally to put my elfy mage through that. I will say that in order to get to that point where the option was available in the dream sequence I totally tailored my responses in our conversations as much as I could toward pro-Solas favor.  I did not tailor major game decisions toward things he would approve of though.  Ain't nobody got time for that.  LOL.  I'm playing on a PS4. Not sure if that makes a difference.

I just took the risk and flirted with Cullen during the first solo interaction with him since entering Skyhold.
Cullen was receptive.
When I went to speak with Solas, he greeted my character with 'Vhenan'

So it appears that flirting with Cullen does not have the same voiding effect as flirting with Blackwall.

I think it's a good sign that he calls you "vhenan". Most likely everything is fine.

Pretty much that. If he's calling you vhenan you're in a romance with him. His romance flows a bit different though (ie no repeatable scene and he doesn't always have a new scene after every major storyline thing). Flirting with Cullen should be fine, but he will turn you down either during the chess game or if you go to him after and suggest you talk alone (depends on timing for that).

Even though there are much less romantic content with Solas I still think those that exist are the best scenes I have ever seen.

On my first playthrough, I wasn't sure I wanted to be with him yet (was barely discovering characters), so I didn't kiss him in the Haven/Fade scene.

Little did I know it would lock me out of a Solas romance forever for that playthrough. Which was pretty infuriating, because not long after that scene, I was sure he was the one I wanted to romance. But I couldn't do it anymore.

I think this option came a bit too early in the game for me, so it was frustrating to complete that first playthrough, being in an unrequited love with Solas (yeah, still managed to be his best friend).

I think they should have made the romance option available as well at the end of his personal quest, even if you hadn't kissed him in Haven/Fade.

There are some romances which give you clear options to either start a committed relationship or break up. It would be nice to see which options start the committed relationship in every romance because you may not always know that you have chosen that kind of option.

I was hooked by the end of the cut scene in Return to Haven when Solas whispered. They've only gotten better.

I know! I'm just hoping there is more romantic content with him in the next DLC/expansion and after the main events of course althought more romantic content before the end is also welcome :D

My favorite parts are whenever he laughed or smiled. It always made me happy because most of the time he's so serious the moents when he seems happy or amused really felt like little rewards :)

I felt that romancing him gives him some happiness which he deserves so when I'm not playing elven PC I feel so sad for him like it's my fault that he is alone and in a way it's my fault because I can decide whether I create an elven PC and romance him.

I kind of feel like that, too. This is my first playthrough and I'm curious about how all of the other characters romance it up, but I can't help running back to Solas. The scenes have been sporadic and rare but so good.

Solas has less romantic content than other LIs and you can easily notice it. I guess because he was added later as LI. I have romanced IB and Cullen and I liked them both very much but they aren't Solas.

I've done Cullen and Dorian in addition to Solas, and enjoyed each for really different reasons. One thing BioWare definitely did a great job of is making each romance feel different and unique. I'd say you definitely should playthrough any which seem interesting to you, and then watch the rest on youtube :)

I flirted with Blackwall when we got to Skyhold, but managed to cut it off with him when he comes to your bedroom at night. This was *after* the fade kiss scene with Solas, but *before* the balcony kiss. That unlocked it, and I was able to romance Solas.

Help! I kissed Solas at Haven and successfully completed his spirit quest, but now I can't get the second kiss! The "do you have a moment" balcony scene when the second kiss happens does play, but at the end when the inquisitor asks "so what does this mean?" he only replies with something like "i respect you and have taken enough of your time." :(   I know that if we did kiss in Haven, he's supposed to say "it means i remember the kiss" and then move in for the second kiss, but it's like he doesn't remember the first one!

I did flirt with Blackwall in Skyhold and he's given me his Explanations quest (which I haven't done), but nothing real has happened between us. Has this locked me out of the second kiss with Solas? Should I continue with Blackwall so I can make a point to end it in the hopes of unlocking Solas again? Is this simply a bug?? Humph!

The same thing happened to me. Flirting with Blackwall once you've reached Skyhold, regardless of anything physically happening, causes Solas to end the conversation before another kiss can happen.

You have two options: 1) load a save prior to that stroll on the ramparts with Blackwall, or 2) progress to a point with Blackwall where you can end it.

I did the first, so I know that works. I've read that the second does work, but I don't really know. Sounds risky.

If Solas tells you that he respects you during the balcony scene you are locked out of his romance. If you still wish to do it you must do the following:  load a save before the balcony scene, take Blackwall on his personal quest to get the Warden amulet, talk to Blackwall again as soon as you get back, and break up with him when he shows up in Quizzy's room and kisses her. THEN do the bacony scene with Solas. Good luck!

EDIT: FIXED! I loaded a save after I finished All New, Faded For Her but before I initiated the balcony scene. I went to Blackwall and told him we needed to talk about us and broke it off. Then I went to Solas and successfully got the second kiss during the balcony scene.

I really, really hope this works. I got the Solas kiss in the Fade. Then I flirted with Blackwall on the wall at some point in Skyhold. After I did All New, Faded For Her I got the respect thing on the balcony and no mention of the kiss. I don't have any pre-flirt with Blackwall saves. And I really don't want to start over again. So if I go back to before doing the All New, Faded For Her quest and make sure to do Blackwall's personal quest and break off the romance with him then I should be able to go back and continue the romance with Solas?

Sounds like too much disapproval. I have a female elf who hates him and he hates her, and the dream sequence never triggers. I don't have that problem with my  other female elves who 1) allied with the mages, or 2) chained the templars. My elf who caged the mages was romancing Blackwall.

Chaining the mages or allying with the templars results in GREAT disapproval from Solas and unless you've done something to GREATLY increase approval (which doesn't happen until after Skyhold) the kiss cut scene will not trigger.
