And no I'm not talking about the keys to enter the next stage. I'm talking about some sort of consumable items that would allow us to open up treasure rooms for the classes we are not playing. Some sort of lockpick, wand, or boot that randomly takes the place of potions in chests. That'd be nice to have.

Being able to open every door is a bonus of having a varied group, if you dont have a varied group then you will more often than not, not have access to all treasure rooms.
The addition of keys would quite possibly be counter intuitive to the develops aims in this regard.

Yes, more pointless RNG dilution!

I need to spend gold to make more gold!
...Seems kinda pointless...

They would replace potions, not items.

Personally I'd rather just have my normal pots/items without moar RNG into the pot. And, y'know, if people decide to play more than one class, well that'd be cool too.

Eh, frankly I haven't found a use for any potion other then screwing around (aside from healing pots of course). Bees to throw on demon commander and fire for chokepoints. Everything else is rather underwhelming (or I'm just a noob) and I'd much rather have some form of keys then 30 more resistance tonics.

Confusion grenades have carried me through many, many rounds. God-tier for stabilizing Perilous situations that're starting to spin out of control. Healing mist can be nice in organized groups and regen pots are god-tier. Antivan Fire also definitely has its uses. Fun fact of the day. Did you know that if the last enemies on the map are turned into allies, you win? We've only used it once (so I can't vouch that it isn't an unreliable bug) but...turned a nasty looking solo finish into hilarity.
That said, I agree entirely with a pot being able to open doors. The artificial class restriction makes sense to a point--especially for teaching newer players how to do group play. But many of my great ME3 memories are from doing zany class combinations and this restriction kills a lot of potentially hilarious comps. Turning door openers into a consumable would allow organized groups of more advanced players to do what they want (as they'd have the consumable income to blow) while preserving comps at more basic levels of play, which I think would be fantastic.
