I don't think I'll be able to play this game :(

The text is way too tiny, I can't read any of it, not the subtitles, the menus, any of it. I can read the main meny options, i.e. Save, Load, Squad, but when I go into it to level my character, I can't tell how many points I have or what any of the abilities do. Journal, Codex, nothing is readable.

Is there anyway to increase the size of the text? I've played with the graphics options and the options on my TV but nothing seems to help.

It'll be your resolution, I'll bet. Try fiddling with that.

Good question, maybe PicklePepperPiper will elaborate in the future. Because surely a computer version user would not be foolish enough to attempt to answer problems on the Xbox version tech support forums... right?

Sorry if that sounded mean, but I'm frustrated from looking forward to this game for years and then finding I'm unable to play it at all. I meant it to be funny. : /

I agree. The font is way too small. I'm really surprised by this rare lapse in quality from Bioware. They pulled a DEAD RISING on us. Everything else about the game rules though!

Yeah, from what I saw trying to play the game at first, it looked great and had an awesome and intriguing beginning, I think. I don't hear too well, so I need to be able to read subtitles in movies and games and use closed captioning with TV shows to really understand what's being said. Therefore, being unable to read it, I had no clue what was going on. Turning up the volume to the maximum level is not a viable option where I live ;P

Funny thing is, I had no problems with entering any of the codes or DLC, which is what a vast majority of the posts here are about. The text on those screens/cards is plenty big enough, I simply followed the directions to the letter, and boom, no issues whatsoever.

It's kinda sad that I'm not having any of the major issues, yet am still unable to play due to the game being improperly prepared for the differently abled. Aren't there laws against that sort of thing? Or is that just for employment?

Try changing your xbox settings to widescreen. This helped in dead rising.

Switching to widescreen helps a little bit, but not that much. I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers for a patch that makes the text bigger, which probably won't happen, or buy newer tv's. Those tv's are expensive damnit!

Yeah, the widescreen trick didn't really help at all. Actually, I think it made it worse. Any other suggestions?

It may be a Standard TV. I'm playing it on a HDTV and I have no problems with the text

Even though this thread started first, there's another thread on this topic with far more replies than this one. I'll link to it here :

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/107/index/785123/1

I'll stop reading and replying to this thread and focus efforts on the larger bandwagon. Despite half of it being one man's crusade to say "HDTV is the best thing since sliced bread" and other people arguing with him, that thread has gotten the attention of a Bioware poster, and is more likely to updated from such. Also, many people shouting the same thing at the same time is harder to ignore than one person off to the side. :)
