Hi, I just brought home my copy of Mass Effect 2 on pc and installed it, but when I try to run the game, the screen goes black full screen then I receive my "Mass Effect 2 has stopped working" error.  I have been reading others' posts but none have a solution. 

One thread suggests that the game was not fully installed (my ME2 folder shows 9.45gb instead of 11 something). 

I've tried reinstalling twice but no success.

PLEASE HELP

I found that when I installed Mass Effect 2, for some reason the english language files did not install onto the computer. I don't know if it was a bug or because I was not at the computer during the installation and missed something.



I fixed the problem by opening english.rar on disk 2 and extracting that to the Mass Effect 2 install directory.

Oh, thanks for the fast reply I also realized that this error occurs during the disc change during installation. It seems that installing the game with both discs in both drives (if you have 2 drives), this error does not occur seeing that the installation is not interrupted. So, both solutions seem to be here. Hopefully these two solutions will solve this problem for anyone who runs into it ;D
