I havent collected them all, but I wanted to know if theyre actually worthwhile to collect all of them, that there is some kind of nice closure to their mystery.
What are the point of Solas Artifacts?

If he's in your party when you turn it on you get slight approval from him. If he isn't when you turn it on nothing happens... maybe some exp.
I personally feel he's going to use them to destroy us all.

If you activate ten of them, a new war table quest (and through that a boss battle) is supposed to appear. It seems to be bugged for a lot of people though.

This pretty much.

Apparently it was bugged on my first playthrough :/
Knowing this now though, I'll keep turning them on on my second.
Also, xp and influence?

I didn't know about the war table mission. I suppose it must have been bugged for me.
In my playthrough, they were just a way to raise approval from Solas. Good to know there is something that comes of it.

Two play throughs now and never seen. I activate all the ones I see but not like there's a tracker for them ![]()

So I'm going to need a tally sheet to find out if it's bugged or not?
Now I'm really curious, because after my first playthrough I wasn't sure I wanted to be turning them on anymore. xD

Ah, I think I've missed that war table mission as well. A shame as I've been activating them with Solas in my group since the beginning. What's the war table mission about?

I don't know that anyone has actually triggered it that I've heard. But the guide says that once you complete it a giant rift appears with a lot of demons you have to defeat.

Maybe Solas has to be present for all 10?

So something actually happens in the world? What a shame :/. Hope those bugs are fixed soon!

He does? Well good to know. It's the same with Vivienna and Blackwall I think, Vivienne approves when you find circle tomes regardless, Blackwall has to be in the action when you locate warden junk.

Exactly, but notes you find in Calpernias hideout also reveals that Samson was a failure. They simply replace one another.
Sided with the templars? Then you hindered Samson's rise to power and Corypheus breaks up with him.
Sad really.

I've switched on an awful lot of those artifacts, but I don't recall ever getting a quest related to them on the war table. Could be that I did, but I don't remember it - heh.

Yeah, and Blackwall calls you on it too, which I found all kind of hilarious. It was the first time I'd picked on up since his reveal about his past, and when I went to speak with him instead of the normal dialogue wheel he said to me "I hear you found something out in the field. I would have liked to have been there." Words to that effect, anyway.
After pulling his beardy behind out of jail, I had a sudden mental image of Inquisitor Adaar giving him the appropriate rude gesture. ![]()

So has anyone gotten that operation/mission to pop on the War Table yet or is that just something that's in the guide but not functioning in the game currently? I really want to know why activating these wards that supposedly 'strengthen the Veil' would end up triggering a Rift. Unless they just predicted it? And it's a grand 'Hero Moment' for the Inquisitor and a pat on the back for Solas? I'm not convinced Solas actually ever said what they're supposed to do because we have what that other Dalish elf said she thought it did--and, given my impression of Solas' opinion on the Dalish I'm just going to assume she's wrong--and then what Solas keeps saying they do which is 'strengthen the Veil.' Ugh. So many Solas questions.

You gain influence even with Solas not in your party.

I go everywhere with Solas and I've been tracking down all of them, no boss fight. I'm guessing it's bugged because they aren't even being tracked.
Anyhow, I am weary of there purpose... and their placement.

I don't think I even got approval from him when doing it. I brought him everywhere and activated all the artifacts I could find, but I remember specifically thinking about how it didn't seem to give an approval boost like similar things did for other companions. Just another bug, I guess ![]()

To be fair, the entire continent was once one huge elvhen empire. It makes sense they'd have a network similar to this.

I don't think that'st a bug, you just maxed out his approval. It happened to me with Varric and Solas both.
Unless you quite certain he can't possibly have maxed approval with your Inquisitor?

You can just check your approval bar in the stats page...
Oh wait... never mind ![]()
