Thats not an example of idiocy. Thats an example of a genius.
An example of an idiot would be the one thats willing to pay $10-20 for that special armor and only that special armor.

Pretty much this.

I'm amazed you people would be so offended by such a minor thing so as to call Bioware idiots and postulate that they conciously wanted to screw you over.

It's a little bonus, they didn't have to include it. Many of you, myself as well, would have likely still spent the extra for the CE even if it weren't included. And if you wouldn't, seriously, that much extra for one armor set? Why?

Let's say that you saw Avatar with Jake's face covered with a large oversized tin can.

wouldn't you call James Cameron a dumbest moron in the world?

it's really simple Image IPB

^^^This^^^ lol

I guess I'm usin the N7 armor.  Not that big of a deal.  I got the CE for the extras like the comic art book etc.

No, it's more like they offered you two different versions: one normal and one that, for only a few bucks more, gives you:

1. A behind-the-scenes, hardcover artbook
2. A comic book.
3. A "Making Of" documentary disc.
4. The option to cover Jake's face with a large, oversized tin can.

Its a bummer not being able to take the helmet off the Collector armour. But I kinda saw that coming as I knew you wouldn't be able to customize it, even in the slightest way. Im sticking with my epic N7 armour. Or maybe my version of the N7 armour, the NZ armour.

That should not be the option since many people paid for that by paying more these people deserve more privileges than other people...

You ****ing idiot, it doesn't matter it is still a payed for exclusive product.
What you don't get either is that you CAN'T change armor except on the ship or special stations.
So when you happen to WEAR the PAYED for armor your stuck with a helmet on. in cut scenes and everything.
Instead of being an idiot that probably doesn't have the CE, use your head.

So it comes down to this:

Either don't use an Item you PAYED for and probably was a great incentive to get the CE edition for, or use it and never see the ****ing face you made in the game.
This is a ROLE PLAYING game too not some shooter.

I can't believe how idiotic this Bioware blunder is.

What do you mean? You can't toggle the helmet's visibility? Or once you equip the helmet, you can't actually unequip it at all? :P

Honestly, I just want it cleared up. If it's the former, then I'll probably try it on for a bit, but if it's the latter I'm most certainly not touching that armour set with a barge pole. I don't want a nasty helmet welded onto my face for the entire adventure.

This is..... this is just MASSIVELY disappointing. That's all I can say. I was really looking forward to using the Terminus armor with my Infiltrator but I spent too much time and effort crafting my character's face to throw it all away with a helmet I can't remove. Just... wow. Who's idea was this!?

BioWare, can we PLEASE get a patch for this?

Put on the armor and the helmet is ALWAYS on forever.

So have fun seeing a big ass ugly collector face instead of your character in dialogue and cut scene's.
Or you can just toss the garbage you PAYED for and NEVER use it.
Why bother having LIPSYNC or character Face grimaces and the "eye's of expression", you never get to see your face.

Thanks Bioware....

No its more like going to a car dealership to buy a new car and when you find one you like and you ask the dealer if you can take it for a test drive he replies "Oh sure you can take it for a spin, but only if you wear this blindfold."

It's kind of annoying because there are stat boosts for wearing different helmets but no way to toggle them on or off outside of combat, and it really spoils the dialogue when you can't see your face at all.

Geeze, and you call me a troll...

And yes, I did buy the CE, because Mass Effect is a game I enjoy and I love all the little bonuses, not just one little armor set that, like I mentioned, probably isn't going to stack up to even the normal armor.

If you paid all that money extra for just one of the little bonuses then it's your own fault.

not to ****ing mention you can't see the face when the game got drastically dramatic. Instead you have to watch big ugly collector charging at Miranda and kissing her. Great I think i just turned myself on...

In ME1 even if you had put your helmet on... you were able to see the face expression. However in ME2, all you see is the giant big bug eyed creature being a hero. Great difference don't you think?

No offense but if you spent 10+ dollars on a comic book than you really aren't that much smarter than everyone else like you try to make it seem.

Clearly I spent my extra money wisely. I clearly paid 10 dollars more for the deluxe edition to NOT use the items and wait 4 hours longer on steam to play it before the regular version. I admit. I have been owned by most likely EAs decisions. Live and learn. :?

No, it's legit. Go to youtube and search for some ME2 gameplay videos. Several of them have characters wearing armor and on mission/planet cutscenes, you're still wearing the helmet. The only time you're helmet-less is onboard the Normandy in casual-dress.
