O....kay. Guess I'm not touchin the bonus armors I guess. Good thing I caught the ones I wasn't getting anyway when Live had their little blunder :)

I still like the CE for the case, yup, its for a shallow reason.

I don't even get the case.  I have to wait longer than everyone.  Now I find out I won't use the bonus armor.  I really really hope whatever that rifle is ...it is worth it.

I hope BW seriously put this as a test drive. Just to see if we liked the toggling off the helemt thing or not.

Meh, no more shallow than some nice looking armor sets with nice but likely surpassable stat bonuses.

This is almost always true except with bioware.  Why?  well I ended up finished from beginning to end Dragon Age wearing nothing but the dragon blood armor.  It was the best armor through out the entire game.

I'm not normally very fussy, but this is a really stupid thing to do, I mean seriously, being forced to wear your helmet even when you casually strolling through the citadel or whatever ...

Is this definitely true, it really seems too ridiculous to be true ... are you sure you can't toggle the helmet off in the station where you can customise your armor?

I'm impressed Bioware. Way to not make me want to use the armors. Anyone got proof for any of this, or is everyone just overreacting?

No, it's legit. Go to youtube and search for some ME2 gameplay videos. Several of them have characters wearing armor and on mission/planet cutscenes, you're still wearing the helmet. The only time you're helmet-less is onboard the Normandy in casual-dress.

Well maybe they just arn't turned off? I know you can turn off the N7 helmets.

Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate w/ Helm of Honnleath > Blood Dragon

+2 to All Attributes
+3 Armor
+70% Fire Resistance
+2 Combat Stamina Regeneration
+25 Stamina
Set: -15% Fatigue
Set: +5 Defense

Is a little bit better IMO than:

+3 Strength
+3 Willpower
+4 Armor
+50 Health
-10% Fatigue
Set: +3 Armor
Set: +1 Defense
Set: +1 Missile Deflection

Yeah I am not normally fussy about these things. But your characters face/look is one of the things that helps immerse you. I am very surprised they did not offer an option to toggle off those helms. I much prefer to see my characters face in a cinematic over a helmet. So I guess my CE armors and pre-order stuff was a waste as I likely won't wear it, unless they patch it.

Stumps me why Bioware would force you to lock you character's face out when they spent all that development on facial expressions, eye nuances, and so forth. The only explanation that makes sense is that this is a marketing ploy that we all fell for. Sucks that Bioware sold out to EA, the kings of false promises, disappointing DLC, and intentional held back material for later release. It has been confirmed, all the armor (including the Dragon armor) is just a simple skin that gives stat bonuses. Nothing can be done with the armor except to "skin" your character completely into the new armor. The Hammerhead was supposed to be release as well for free on launch. I hope the delay is due to final tweaking and not some bs ploy to have us pay for it as well. Again...EA, it's in the game (if you pay extra for it)

N7
[*]Increases power damage by 3%[*]Increases weapon damage by 3%[*]Increases health by 3%[*]Increases shield strength by 3%
Blood Dragon

[*]Negotiation bonus 10%[*]All power damage 10%[*]Increases storm speed by 10%
Terminus
[*]Increase storm speed by 10%[*]+1 magazine of reserve ammo for weapons[*]+15% shields
Straight from masseffect.bioware.com/universe/arsenal/armor/. I would hardly call those negligible. And from the sounds of things, unless you got special bonus armor, you're stuck with N7 the entire game? WTF is with that? If not, then at least these armors would be more useful than the default armor for a little while. It would be really nice to be able to reap the benfits of a certain piece of armor without having to worry about diminished immersion.

In my opinion the way they handled ME1 was > DA in regards to helmet. They needed an invisibility toggle in dragon age like you wouldn't believe. I never once wore a helmet in that game either because it made me look like a viking princess or a hobo cause unless you had a whole set, the stuff just didn't match.

At the same time, the helmet just magically dissapearing for story lines, when your face was literally void of emotion anyways was dumb. It just needed a toggle like ME, if ME2 went in reverse on this, then it's just dumb.

You are not stuck with N7 armor the entire game, you can buy new armors. Don't know if you can find them elsewhere though.

Helmets should come off if you are in a cinematic or conversation. Really would like to see this addressed as not being able to see Sheps face really drains quite a bit of the immersion factor out of ME.

so what you're saying is even in the station where you can customize armor you cannot remove the helmet off the armors? Is this only for pre-ordered bonus armors and the CE armor?

Yeah it's a bit disapointing to me too, I thought ME2 would have a system like DA:O. When you're in a cutscene or conversation, the game auto hides your helmet. This was perfect.

Anyway, that's why I stick with the Kwashi Visor (scouter) wich is an awesome piece of gear btw.

Blood Dragon, better than Juggernaut? I'm inclined to disagree. Vehemently.

Moreover, the newer version of the Blood Dragon armor has been made far less powerful.

Yes because at 4.30am Edmonton time one of the Devs is going to wake up and answer aren't they?

I wish some people would grow up and stop whining like babies and use some common sense for once

Not being able to see your face in a game like this is absurd. It kind of reminds me of DA:O where all the damn sustainable talents make you glow a different colour, which completely ruins any serious moment or cutscene, so that i end up turning off all talents except in combat,

I have to admit, that is a bit of a bummer. I liked taking my helmet off on the fly and I like always having the choice to take it off.
