... cause whoever it is should be fired. seriously, its a huge drawback, not being able to see your characters face. Seriously decreases the drama of the situation. This is one of those stupid decisions that really takes away from a game.

If you think of a RPG as a presentation of narrative, like a
movie or a TV show, you imagine seeing the actors face during dialog. Imagine
watching a SCI-FI show in which actual dialog is delivered through helmets; now
imagine yourself loosing interest and never watching it again.
Look at the Abyss and the design invested into clear open
helmets. The story required dialog in
helmets so they invested some brain power into helmet design as compromise that maintained audience
investment into those scenes. Otherwise
the only time we have dialog related "helmet" scenes are one-liner action sequences from 'super
hero' movies; Spider Man; Franklyn; where they wear the exact-same iconic mask
through every episode/scene.
The general consensus from people upset about this design decision
is that they paid extra for these unusable design decisions. Also they understand that they paid extra after being enticed and
encouraged through advertising and brand loyalty to pay extra for these
features, with no indication of the fatal design decision being mentioned.
Overall I agree with most members here: I wish I had not paid extra for armors I won’t
be able to use in game. I won’t be able
to use them in game because I have invested into the franchise as a RPG and my
enjoyment comes from the story. Each interaction
is like a scene in a movie and the helmets make it look like a B-Movie with an
idiot director ruining the shots with bad choices.
