The funniest part (or saddest) is that they've gotten the game banned for reason that do not exist.
Plus, if you read the petition, you'll see that many comments are left by people mocking it and the people supporting it. Unfortunately, you have to sign the petition to comment on it, so those people get lumped together with the supporters.

Women are being raped and stoned to death in the middle east, demostic violence occurs constantly all over the world... and your biggest concern is the ability to kill your unborn child? I'm not going to get into this debate with you, but you need to learn that being a woman isn't about being on some team. But to the point, maybe you should take some responsibility and keep your legs closed? Hows that for a reproductive right?

It does bring up an interesting point about the feminist movement that has always bothered me. While we're all talking about depictions of women in video games there are international, multimillion dollar human trafficking rings that force hundreds of thousands (probably millions) of women into prostitution, and a number of them operate in the United States, Canada, Australia, and other "first world" countries relatively unchecked by law enforcement (some of whom could possibly be in on it).
Not that I'm trying to call attention away from the plights of fictional characters or anything. Certainly there needs to be more "progress" on that front, and we can worry about things like sex slavery later.

I would personally think that reproductive rights are not in the same ballpark in terms of importance, regardless of opinions one way or another. But we are all entitled to them (opinions).

Before this thread is inevitably locked, I'd just like to say that I'm not a proponent for having more violent video games. Quite frankly I think we could do with less of them. I'm troubled by the gratuitous violence in mass media in general and how the envelope is constantly being pushed more and more. Even more so when the media is still so prudish that they fine people thousands of dollars dropping the F bomb on air or for "nipple slips." Are words and an exposed breast really worse than a group of cannibals cooking and eating someone's leg (happened in The Walking Dead just a few weeks ago)?
This is sending the wrong message IMHO. It may or may not increase aggression and violent tendencies in people to see this stuff but it's still an unsettling standard that should be done away with. Enough with the puritanism.

Feminism has many branches. Some are moderate, some are extreme and some are batsh*t crazy. Just like Idealists, Empiricists, Socialists etc.
They got most of the rights they demanded in 70s, so the moderate ones are satisfied somehow. The extreme ones aren't satisfied with equality, equal education and job opportunity, but they want eradication of anything they find sexist and likely dominance over men.
Batsh*t crazy ones are those who want dominance plus eradication of marriage and males by genetic modification of women!!!!
