Ah yes, charming that one must say it's sad Varric would "go for someone so far beneath him". Always a nice thing when one must bring down a person just because someone else is interested in them.
Varric likes her. That's all that matters. Saying "she's beneath him" is.... certainly an asinine notion.
I'm a little disappointed she's a dwarf... I was expecting a little more from our dashing rouge. Something like an elven princess, a noble pirate, but just another surfaced dwarf was a bit meh.
It's hardly a surprise if you read the comics from not too long ago.
Yeah I never quite understood why she made a death threat since it was her fault with the red lyrium bit. I actually thought there would be more to it but it seem that ended pretty quickly. The fact that she made mention of Larius being a mage which in Awakenings he didn't look like a mage to me.
Too bad there wasn't a Renegade interrupt to kick her in the face or something that would of have been epic!
She makes the threat because Varric is under your care. Although she's responsible, that doesn't change how Varric's still putting his life on the line. She doesn't want him to be hurt, especially if we're careless. It's an understandable reaction, considering the state of the world.
And no, Larius isn't a mage. But that's the point. Larius wasn't Larius when she met him. Larius was gone by that point and Corypheus had taken over, using him as a conduit and turning him into a mage (possibly even shifting Larius' appearance to be less Ghoulish).
Bianca seems real cool, and has a sweet chemistry with Varric, but I was underwhelmed by the "story" behind the relationship. Obviously we don't know the whole thing, but the way the basic gist of it was revealed to us was very anti-climactic after having hear him say it's "the one story I'll never tell". Don't know what I was expecting. Maybe something with a little more angst. Or razzle dazzle.
To be fair, he says the one story he can never tell is how he acquired Crossbow Bianca, because it would put Bianca's life in jeopardy (and IIRC potentially his own). He tells you about the relationship though. Romeo and Juliet basically I guess, minus the death and suicide and teenage angst.
Though I do wish Bianca was present for more then just a "Yeah this is her, now she's gone" quest.
