If I remember correctly, Isabela makes a similar threat against Hawke when romancing Merrill, only against somewhere further south than his eyes.

Bianca is... Well, let's say that I hoped for something else. She had an affair with Varric, probably felt in love with him, to the point they decided to go married, but she never came to the wedding. Yet she got married to the wealthy guy her parents chose to her. And Varric is still in love with her, when it's obvious she only toys with him? I'm sad for him, and I don't like Bianca for doing this. She's "threatening" my Inquisitor, but she is the one who did the worst to Varric, so let him go, stop playing with him and giving him hopes.

I'm thinking I probably missed a lot of context not having read the comics, but I agree...I was surprised at how "meh" her entire involvement was. I was expecting some emotional resonance between her and Varric, but I felt more excitement on his part with Hawke than with Bianca.

Varric says sadly that when Bianca got married with the other dwarf, that it is a wedding she went to, so it is quite obvious that she didn't go to their wedding. Sure it seems that there's a guild close to Bianca's family that didn't see Varric well, but she choose to marry the guy her family wanted and not Varric. What saddens me is that I'm quite sure he said to her that it was best for her and she wouldn't have any troubles like that. But I cannot like a woman who does something so cruel to the nicest guy in this game.

We've seen Orzammar, we know the kind of assholes that live there, I have no doubts they'd make her casteless in a second if they knew what she was doing.
For some reason I think we have not seen the last of "the" Bianca, simply because the quest ends so abruptly. I think we will see more of this story uncovered in future content, just like how I think we will see more of the personalities of all the companions with xpac/DLC content. Personally I really hope we see a continuation of the romances ( how the romance develops over time, rather than becoming static after initial arc)

I really dislike Bianca. Well, to be honest I don't mind her, but I hate the Varric/Bianca stuff. Seriously, keeping a guy on your leash for at least 7 years is horrible. And she is - she must see that Varric is still holding a candle. She laughs off the idea of her family sending assassins after him (which they do!) and is content to let him pine away while she has her cake and eats it too.
I don't fault her for choosing to honour her family - but if she cares about Varric at all, she should have the guts to let him go and find some other happiness.
And yeah, a bit of bitterness that she is the reason we can't romance Varric as Hawke or the Inquisitor, yeah it is there.

I thought Bianca's family tried to uphold the castes on the surface? Meaning, in they 'technically' are casteless (if you asked Orzammar dwarves) - but they consider themselves Smith Caste?
