Will content be locked off? I haven't yet visited the hissing waste and I have some companion quests still undone like vivs?

Apparently companion quest will be locked off. At least you can't talk to them anymore after the ending.

Some content is locked, but environments like Hissing Wastes are fine.  Some XBox players say crafting gets locked, but that's a bug and not intentional.

 

One character always leaves the party after the end.

Obviously you can't do quests associated with that character.

 

Other characters can leave depending on your dialogue and choices, though these should be pretty obvious.  If you've encouraged someone to take an important job or go back to their people after this is all over, they will be locked down post-game.

It has a big warning saying quests will be locked off if you do the mission.

 

Do the mission, but save just before visiting the wartable so you can come back to a more lively world. There is nothing worth doing after the last quest

Thanks for the post. I made a save right before doing the last mission just in-case I have the desire to finish some character content. Anyways i finished the game. Boss fight was pretty, eh. Post credit scene was shocking though. Fantastic.
