What if someone's dream self in the fade is brought through a rift?  Would they physically manifest?

Interesting thought.  I would think it would be more like a spirit crossing into the physical plane.

 

The question is, at what point does the connection to the physical body break?

As to your question, does your dream self have physical substance? Or are you just a ghost there, where the Fade is like an inversion of reality?

The Fade is supposed to be in the same space as Thedas, just not quite there through the Veil. If imagine that since your spirit is already anchored to your body, you'd just return to it and wake up. Your spirit never really leaves your body, it just ignores the Veil while you're asleep.

Which adds another element to this, why would you be sleeping near a fade rift to possibly have this happen.

ok thanks, I've not covered much of Emerald Graves yet, so if it's not in my codex library I'll keep a mental note to look out for it :-)

It's around to the north tip of the map, maybe north east. It might show up as a ping just definitely keep an eye out as the notes are interesting and funny

Well..yeah they do. Demons and Spirits are basically dreams in the first place. Cole is a spirit so he was dreamed up and then brought through the rift into the real world and became a person..a creepy person who seems to like Haiku's a lot but still he's a spirit made real.
