What would happen if someone was dreaming and their dream-self got pulled through a fade rift? would they simply wake up? would their dream-self physically manifest? would they become something similar to a mage, or abomination?
Lore question about rifts and dream-selves.

Hmm, wouldn't being pulled out of a rift be a traumatic experience? As in the dream-self would immediately be awaken because the pull is too much of a shock? It is my guess that a person's dream-self would be too weak of a form when compared to a spirit/demon. I mean a spirit/demon already has a place in the Fade as that's its place of origin so to speak.
I don't know, but that is an interesting question.

Pretty sure they would just "wake up".
If you remember, in the DAO: Awakening DLC, in Blackmarsh when the warden is pulled into the fade by (the mother's First I think?) and then thrown back out of the fade by the Baroness everyone just returns to their bodies. Justice even remarks on it, because he is thrown into the dead warden's body and the Baroness has no "body" to return to, so she appears as a demon.

A much more important question is: What will happen to my real body," when said rift opens.

You would probably just wake up.

See the Just Wake Up opinion, if it's an automatic sucked through the rift, would your spirit/soul/whatever even have time to go back to your body to wake you up, or would you become disconnected.

i don't think that was a portal that allowed things to physically move in and out of the fade like rifts do.
if it was justice wouldn't have needed to possess a body.
