Or the fact that the Warden (Hero of Fereldon) was the unifying factor between all these people and they have nothing in common outside of that may contribute to the lack of interaction.

Just because we had Chemistry together in the 11th grade and had to do a group project together doesn't mean we'll be "besties" or have anything meaningful to say to one another 10 years later.

So Bioware stayed true to real life awkwardness and I approve.

Yeah, I agree. Let's also remind ourselves that Morrigan did not get on with either Leliana or Alistair, so there really wasn't much love lost when they went their seperate ways.

I certainly don't say hi to people I went to school with for 12 years and never spoke to again, why would they?

It was kinda weird when Leliana seemed unhappy that Morrigan was involved at the ball but when Morrigan joined the Inquisition she really had no protest over it. I was expecting a bit of resistance like "What is she up to?" But later when they talk they seemed on pretty decent terms XD. A full reunion of  Leliana,Morrigan and Alistair would have been great but they don't even seem to try and acknowledge things apart from a bit of discussion at the ball. Really in the scene when Morrigan informs the Inquisitor she'll be joining it would have been cool to have Leliana been watching and then protest her getting her claws into the Inquisitor and you need to try to talk them into getting along.

You know, you would think Bioware would have something extra if you happen to have Morrigan, Alistair, and Leiliana all at Skyhold at the same time. Doesn't make sense that the three wouldn't acknowledge each other at all. Obviously they weren't all friends (well, neither was friends with Morrigan anyway), but they did travel together for months.

Is that not in there? If you go and get Morrigan and then begin the plot with the Grey Wardens, there is a period where Alistair or Loghain is potentially at Skyhold at the same time as her -- and there is a scene between the two of them if you go and speak to Morrigan. Might only be if they were involved in the Dark Ritual, I don't actually recall, but I don't think so.

I get the impression that Morrigan isn't the type to sit down over tea and discuss old times.

Actually, I think she might be a bit more open to that now, depending on how she's approached.

Oh the irony that is BSN.

That's so mean (that there is a scene lol) Honestly, I should never read these threads... now I HAVE to do a sacrifice Hawk PT so I can see the scene.

Yeah.. I refuse to leave Alistair or Loghain... well maybe Alistair but I actually like Loghain lol

Seriously though, its nice how many little things you guys added in.

Adds to the game, for me, so I can't thank you enough.

I think the scene is before the Nightmare demon quest, since Alistair/Loghain/Stroud and Hawke are in Skyhold only then. Basically, you need to do Wicked Hearts before finishing Here Lies the Abyss.

(Oh dear, I had the appropriate world state on the first playthrough, but I might have deleted the saves I made before these quests... I really want to see this scene!)

Interesting.  I had that whole set up, including Alistair OGB.  I guess I just missed talking to Morrigan at the right time?  I wonder if anybody has a video of this?

:) I figured as much since the Warden, whoever it is, or Hawk leave right after.

I just meant in my case Hawk will never survive if Alistair or Loghain are the Warden.

Makes me wonder how many scenes Im missing using the same world state!

Did'nt you hear Leliana, Alistair, Loghain, Morrigan, Cullen, the champion and Varric and some others all got together for a big party. You were not invited, so they poilitly decided not to mention it when you were around.

Do you have to have not started the whole thing in Crestwood for it to fire correctly?

I'm at the point where Al is hanging out on the tower next to Cassandra but haven't gone to the Western Approach or the Ball yet. It didn't fire when I had Loghain in my first playthrough.

I'm going to change course and do the ball then to see if it comes up.

I would have liked to see more, to be honest.

My warden was actually great friends with Morrigan, and loved Leliana.  Even if they did not agree on everything the banter between them in Origins showed they at the very least respected each other. Not to mention my Warden went  out of her way to look for Morrigan simply because she was a friend and felt she deserved more.

To say the least, I expected far more interaction between them then just a needlessly hostile glance.

Hostile?

In my play through, with a warden who romanced Leliana and did the dark ritual, Leliana says she's thankful to Morrigan for saving her love's life, and that Morrigan has improved in attitude since DAO.

Because this isn't school? These are companions that traveled through life and death, war, had each other's backs while facing down demons and making decisions that changed the course of their world and history. Comparisons to high school, while amusing, do not ultimately rate.

Damnit, I really don't want to choose between Alistair and Hawke too often but goshdurnit does he have WAY more interesting content as a Warden than a King lol.

I am glad that Bioware brought back the fan favorites from DA:O.

Yet sadly, the amount of interaction between the two was really minimal.

In fact, Leliana was uncharacteristically hostile towards Morrigan.

And Morrigan doesn't seem to even notice Leliana.

You'd think that having saved the world together you would at least catch up on old times...

At the very least, say something good or sarcastic about each other.

I suppose that is due to the World State of the DA Keep. Mine was The Warden romancing Lelianna and doing the Dark Ritual because that is what I did on DA:O, and Lelianna was on good terms with Morrigan. At first in the Orlesian Ball she warns you about her, but after Morrigan joins the Inquisition, when I asked Lelianna about her she tells something about Morrigan having changed for good, thinking she is a good mother for Kieran and being in great debth with her because Morrigan saved her love´s (The Warden´s) life, althought she doesn´t specifically tell you how (The Dark Ritual).

I think it's safe to assume the Warden told her about the Ritual after the events of the first game.

Honestly, I didn't expect them to reference that outcome (Warden in love with Leliana/DR with Morrigan) but I'm glad they did because that was my canon Warden as well. ^-^

I guess I just must have missed it or did not talk to Morrigan at the right time. My apologies then.

Okay, so I currently have both Morrigan and Alistair hanging out in Skyhold yet no special scene plays when I speak to either of them.

Maybe it's because I got Alistair first, or maybe they just need a load update, sometimes traveling somewhere and returning activates cutscenes for companions, so I'm going to try that and return.

Same here. I don't know what hostility people think they saw.

I reloaded an old save, got Morrigan then when to Crestwood(area was already unlocked) to pick up Loghain and back at Skyhold kept talking to Morrigan and no scene happened. So unless it requires a very certain trigger in doing the quests this seems buggy.

The only thing I can think of is maybe people completely misinterpreting what she says in Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. She is "ruthless and capable of anything." It's not hostile; it's a warning that she is powerful, dangerous and to be careful around her which is perfectly spot on. Given what Morrigan can do later in the game at the well of sorrows by possibly killing Abelas in an attempt to gain more power the quote is spot on.

Hmm, she never said that for me, though my save has a female Warden who romanced Leliana and had Alistair do the DR, so I guess that line is only for Wardens who did it themselves?

Still had the part about her changing since DA:O, though.

I think it might be. I ran across this somewhere that has the quote

For me it didn't trigger until after investigating the ritual tower in the Western Approach. When I came back to Skyhold Alistair was in the garden next to Morrigan.

Should work the same for Loghain I imagine.  :)

Tried that and didn't work :( . Started reloading and going through all the convos before that, then tried avoiding convos thinking maybe he'd show up in the cutscene with her son but nope. Couldn't get it to trigger. They're both in Skyhold, Loghain did the ritual but can't get anything. Maybe others have better luck.
